I see the DX7IIfd a lot. Sell that and keep the Korg. More character!

Re: CV Compatibility between SH-101 and Mono/Poly

The Gate can be switched between - or + triggers. The M/P uses V/Oct however. I used my x0xb0x to sequence it when i had my M/P. The ARP can only be triggered via a -trigger though.

Re: Roland SH-1 vs Promars

The SH-1 is essentially part of the System 100 system. It's as close to one of these as you can get w/o spending the 1000s of $ needed. I've had two of them. They sound great!!!

Re: 909 + 808 kick drums

808 needs it more than the 909 usually, as you need to tame it down to fit into a mix.

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

I paid $1200 for my MD uwmkI. And i feel it's worth every penny! There are thing you can do with the sequencer that cannot be done with anything else. It's made out of metal and sturdy as h**l. It's quick and easy to use. I really want a MnM as well. Who knows what's up @ Elektron. I guess we'll see...

Re: sh101 on the fritz

Yeah, it sounds like there's something inhibiting the CV/Gate getting to the synth section. But i don't think that would cause it to just drone on. Is the VCA in gate mode or envelope mode?

You can easily fit another 2 in there if you redrill the bottom shelf at the very bottom. There's basically 2u of dead space under the bottom shelf if you assembly it normally.

I'd love to see just the sequencer in EuroRack format.

I don't see myself going beyond 9u high at all. I think that is the perfect amount really.

Re: It's finished!

Yes, i'm really pleased with how the case turned out. Paint it? No way. That would negate the hours and hours spent on getting the finish so nice.
