Yeah, they're really not hard to build. My first kit was my first time soldering. Not including replacing 2 sliders on my 101. I've built 3 kits so far. But i realize some people just aren't confident enough to give it a try. Myself, i'd build it for $100. I don't have quite the background Factory P...

I never had anything as a kid. I didn't get into buying synths until 1996 when i was 24. My first synth was a Korg PolySix.

I don't think Roland was thinking about those silly little silver boxes sounding the exact same across the board =o] They were cheap, made with cheap components and only meant to play simple bass lines.
