Re: x0xb0x q's
Incidentally, the newest b0x i built has more resonance than any other stock b0x i've heard. Not a lot more, but def enough to notice. It's actually kind of cool.

Re: New drum machine / sequencer / MPC thing from Zoom
So far I'm not impressed, sorry... They really make no mention of it, but do state some things that make me think they very well may be there.... If there's 3 ADSRs (just a simple pitch, filter, amp), 1 LFO, and a 12 or 24db resonate filter.... They would have crafted the first portable devi...

Re: EBM drums
I liken the sampler on the MD to a Yamaha SU10. But with better filters =o]
2mb on the first UW model, and 2.5mb on the mkII. You can fit a surprising amount of samples in such a small space if you're careful.

Re: EBM drums
Well, i don't consider any of that stuff EBM, but whatever. The Maschine will sound like whatever you put into it. Do you have Battery? I'd just use that. Unless you want to stay strictly hardware. I really like the Yamaha RY30 a lot, or it's rack mount brother the RM50. If money is no object, i'd l...

Re: Newbie says Hi & shares a sad story...
there's a simple, basic, lesson in those kinds of stories about the nature of supply and demand in a free market economy..... maybe anyone who would get pissed off about that should envision it being THEIR grandfather with the mini. would you want your grandfather selling a mini for $1600 through s...

Re: Newbie says Hi & shares a sad story...
"WHAT? You want to sell me this MiniMoog for $400?!? How dare insult my morality! I will give you NO LESS than $5000!" I mean come on, how is that taking advantage of someone who sets a price themselves. The seller wanted $1600. So that's what he was gonna get. I bet you ANY amount of money the guy ...

With all those bangin' a*s soundz and Platinum Hit Preset Beats, it's an instant rap record!
They're obviously not going for professionalism.

Not really, the ESQ-1 is purely sampled waveforms. The term Wavetable is a bit confusing i'm sure. The VFX series CAN however produce PPG like timbres using it's scannable wavetables.

Re: Looks like everyone has caught onto Ensoniq synths
I just sold my ESQ-1 for $275. I think that's about as close to a max ceiling those and the SQ-80 will hit. Even the VFX-SD/SD-1 doesn't sell for much more. And those are FAR more capable synths. I doubt that bid will be honored. He'll back out.

They were never originally made in white. That's a custom job from Custom Synths in the UK.

Re: Have presets killed control once more?
As long as the layout is functional, i don't mind. The uQ and Virus Rack were super easy to edit. Even easier than the Mopho w/o the editor. The Evolver is super easy as well. The ESQ-1 is easy also. It seems that a lot of companies are trying to find that fine line between functionality and price.
