Agree.

Re: Reported problems with Korg Electribes (EMX-ESX)

Thank you man, I just found somebody who already replaced it. Paid $20 I didn´t know about the G fuse problem on several Korg products until now. Anyway, I could never, ever regret about the time and money invested on the ESX-1. All synths have problems or issues, knobs, bugs, gremlins etc, etc... a...

Re: Reported problems with Korg Electribes (EMX-ESX)

Thank you for the input. Is one of the synths I use the most, I have spent years building and improving the samples databases, only to be performed on the ESX. Is my workhorse for percussions and beat loops back ups, so I must fix it. And local stores loves to rip you off with these things.... The k...

Reported problems with Korg Electribes (EMX-ESX)

Last week, I was playing my Electribe ESX-1 Suddenly, all the lights turned off, except for the screen. This one remains with the amber light, but no info or characters displayed. No sound. Nothing. Must mention that I was using this instrument 3-4 hours per day during the last months. I have been b...

Re: Hardware samplers in the age of the DAW

Hardware samplers will never be erradicated from the face of the earth, I don´t even consider them as "old school". Just take a look to the Octatrack.
I just find suspicious the idea of replacing them with computer sampling tools.... why?

Re: EMU XTREME LEAD-1

It is the same ROM and sound engine as the command station XL-7. It is just has a keyboard instead of the groovebox controls. Not sure if that helps. Actually there are big differences: they don´t have the sequencer of the command stations and proteus 2500 and the polyphony was reduced from 128 to ...

Re: Moving synths to play a gig

I just came back from a gig on the beach (6 hours by bus) with a broken electribe, also one of my Emus has some scars from the trip and some bottons are f**k up.

I agree. If you feel some love for your instruments, get hardcases. Don't be a fool like me

Re: Fizmo Audio In

Must go to the settings mode screen, scroll to the end, it says LIn (Line in) just turn it on and press save, otherwise it will return to Off when you turn off the Fizmo. Also you must move the thin knob that is next to the Line Input.

It's on the manual.

Re: v-synth a good sampler?

This way you get the original v-synth sounds which were bizarre and the version 2 sounds in the XT Hmmm.... there must be a way to get the old sounds to load in the new one. I haven't figured it out yet though. Any one have any ideas? I think the problem is that the v2 upgrade featured a different ...

Re: alesis ion's flexible oscillators

thanks a lot everyone! balma: that's exactly how i've been using my proteus 2000, especially love it for odd drumkits. besides the controls, what's the difference between the 2000 and the 2500/command station? The only difference between them are the sensitive pads on the command station, engine an...
