Hardware samplers will never be erradicated from the face of the earth, I don´t even consider them as "old school". Just take a look to the Octatrack.

Must go to the settings mode screen, scroll to the end, it says LIn (Line in) just turn it on and press save, otherwise it will return to Off when you turn off the Fizmo. Also you must move the thin knob that is next to the Line Input.
