It says : NEW MUSiC ALWAYS.
It would be ironic if it is another vintage reproduction.

Re: Midi Knob Controller for Roland XV2020
Hi Lorenzo,
if I remember correct Edirol PCR controller series (300, 500, 800) have preinstalled controller maps for older roland products and I think JV and XV series are included, you should check them out.

Re: Help Quick! JP-8000 humming! A Lemon?
Hopefully the worst is it eventually stops working and all I have to do is resolder a new aftermarket one in for ~$15. Transformers along with filter caps are the most dangerous components in electronics, so if the appropriate precautions are not taken, the worst thing that can happen, is not repla...

Re: Moog Liberation. To restore or to mod ?
Sorry for the misunderstanding , actually I got the PSU / CV interface and it is the only piece from the unit that is intact , it is just missing from the picture I took. Damn it , I was looking for information about the ribbon and I remember that there was a picture showing the guts of the ribbon a...

Re: Korg M1 No Sound problem
I believe that the M1 is not highly sought after , it was Korgs best selling synth, it was produced in masses so there are a lot of units out there , I doubt that the demand is high.Geck60 wrote:These really are sought after aren't they?

Re: Moog Liberation. To restore or to mod ?
Thanks for your input madtheory, to be honest this is what I thought in the first place, but the keys are fixable , so I dont mind taking all the time it needs to repair them. Fun fact about the keyboard assembly : I had no idea that MOOG used a KORG keyboard in the liberation. Does anybody have any...

Moog Liberation. To restore or to mod ?
In a moment of craziness , I got myself a moog liberation, literally in pieces , missing the ribbon assembly , the bottom plate, the after touch circuit, the 6pin cable and near all screws. Unfortunately most key contacts are bent and there are several visible issues on the pcbs, but thankfully noth...

Re: Help Quick! JP-8000 humming! A Lemon?
I dont know if I have missed the point, I am just posting my opinion on this subject. I have used 3 X Jp8000s so far, none of them had a buzzing transformer, although I do have several other synths that have transformers that buzz. This buzzing can be caused when the transformer outputs more current...

Re: Help Quick! JP-8000 humming! A Lemon?
There are chances that the item was "as described" when it was posted but not when it arrived. If the package was bumped during transportation then the ribbon header could have gotten loose and the same applies for the transformer. Obviously the slider that you mention was replaced in the past with ...

Sometimes a factory reset can help, you should also check the internal battery.

Re: SCI Prophet VS ROMs
I have read that 20-30 years is the "normal" lifespan of the data in an EPROM , and i was wondering if anybody else had any similar experience, thats why I asked. Anyways , many thanks for sharing these, if anybody else can contribute , maybe we can build a ROM database for early digital synths. A f...

Re: SCI Prophet VS ROMs
thank you very much for sharing these dumps
Did you experience any eprom failures ? I am asking because recently I have noticed eprom failures in 2 early digital synths, in a DX7 and a S50.

Check the pictures and the comment on "Questions and answers about this item".
Yes it is in pretty rough shape , considering how old it is , the Key action felt good , springs look good to fair , they have a normal wobble with sound in play .

Re: Connecting USB controllers to vintage synth 5 pins
Assuming that you dont want to use a computer, the solution is a midi usb host like this :
