Korg ms 2000 has a motion sequencer , not exactly a step sequencer, that can modulate pitch and other parameters.

Re: Triangle core VCOs
The oscar's oscs were a strange design, I would say not completely digital since they were based on 4046 phase locked loop ICs.
Thomas Henry's x-4046 vco is triangle core.

Re: Low Korg Prophecy output?
Compared to all the synths that I have used , Prophecy has the lowest output of them all.
A little gain from the mixer could help and since the overall output is not noisy , I dont see it as a problem.
Despite this fact , the prophecy is one of my favorite digital synths

Re: SH-201 Question
I highly doubt that the 201's filter can self oscillate but you can set both OSCs to EXT IN and have a try.
Alternatively set a sine wave to Osc1 and modulate its pitch with an LFO to reproduce the effect you are looking for.

I had no idea that beatstep pro was compatible with Hz/Volt, thanks for the info.

lol!
They should have made a remake of the British awards version of 3 am Eternal, along with buckets of blood, sheep disembowelment and M16 with real bullets.

Re: K1m backup battery dead, unit open, need help!
If you are going to do this then you should do it the right way. You can use common CR2032 Batteries and a battery holder, both cost less than $2. Also have in mind that lithium batteries can explode when overheated during soldering, thats why it is a good idea to use a socket. http://thumbs2.ebayst...

Re: K1m backup battery dead, unit open, need help!
Hi , in the 80s/early 90s most manufacturers had the batteries soldered in the pcb, so I dont think that Kawai is to blame here. You have to lift the mainboard and unsolder the battery terminals from the pcb and then replace it with a battery holder just like the holders found in modern computer mot...

Re: Korg MS20 calibration
What I have noticed with my unit is that lower notes have a higher amplitude, I thought that this was Korg's trick to make it sound more "bassy". If you are talking about individual notes then it could be a calibration issue. When using both oscillators , incorrect osc pitch tracking can cause abnor...

You are probably correct about the pins.gigidamico wrote:I opened my esx1 and the volume master pot has 6 pins not 7
The picture was taken from part is parts website, so I guess they had it wrong.
Part number is 362X120002, good luck finding one.

Re: Removing flux from 40 years old pcbs
Thank you all for your replies. I use toluene (toluol). Never heard of it, I would like to try it but I cant find it in my country. In which applications is it used? Are you sure it's flux? I recently recapped a Unost'-21 where almost all PCBs were covered in what I presumed to be varnish. It looked...

Removing flux from 40 years old pcbs
I am trying to remove the old flux from CS30's pcbs , but I have no luck yet. Near all pcb's have tremendous amount of old brown flux, I havent seen anything like this before, and to prevent possible corrosion of the copper tracks, I want to take it off. So far I have tried the usual solutions, rubb...
