Re: Roland SH01
Speaking of GAIA's design ... This is what first what comes in my mind. Appears the synth is made of the same plastic. Tell me about it, can't believe how s**t the plastic is on some gear these days. Crappy, cheap plastic seems to be worryingly making its way into a lot of the lower end stuff from ...

Re: new elektro BASS made with Revenge
Cool track, how did you do make the fill at 1:40? Can you give a download of just the fill?, I've been trying for a while to get a fill sound like that without much success

Re: Roland SH01
Don't get why Roland and Music Reps say things in the vein of, "sounds great with the classic analog sound bla, blah". Come on guys, would you expect an Jupiter-8 to sound like a digital - no, so why imply the oposite is possible? Only sounds good for trance supersaw IMO, not that that's a bad thing...

Re: Are you an expert on a specific synthesizer?
Or at least, if you do not consider yourself as one of the gurus of the synth, a truly big enthusiast of certain model.... Definitely the original V-Synth for me, unfortunately the power supply on mine just blew a couple of weeks ago and I'm already really missing not being able to play it :( Virus...

Re: boss dr 55
Ouch! Good advice nathanscribe, I tried it after reading the tip written above - still works, but wont be trying it again now I know 8-) Just so I know, what exactly happens if the memory chip does fail? Someone should put this after the other tip on the DR-55 comments page. Before mine was ...

Re: boss dr 55
The DR-55 is a good little machine for dark & simple sounds. Goes well with the HC-2 clapper. A word of warning though: NEVER use a 9V battery on that clip, you'll destroy the memory chip. I've seen them for sale without the original battery holder, so people think they can plug on a 9V and go. I g...

...I wish to god Roland would pick up there socks and start re-producing their old gear again. Yeah, Roland is still my fave but I would stop short of saying they should re-release all their old gear - it's all been very well done before. I just wish they would do more projects like the original V-...

Re: LRF Support for the MiniMoog
My local hardware store Bunnings has them, set of 4 in a pack with screws, brand is Zenith - I'd be very surprised if you can't find the same in your local hardware stores.

Re: Dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say about synths
here's one classic, from the biggest music gear store in belgrade: ME: hello, i'd like to buy a midi sequencer. do you have any? or perhaps, can you show me some catalogues of roland, yamaha, akai etc with midi equipment? SALESMAN [seemingly in late teens, earring in one ear and self-confident smil...

Re: Experts: do you know which keyboard is this?
Hi, Do anybody knows which keyboard is located at the top of the rack? the one this guy is playing with his right hand. To me it looks like the PG-800 is attached to that keyboard but... the PG-800 is supposed to be only compatible with the JX-8P and the JX-10. I already went through a list of Rola...

Re: New Roland and/or Korg synths using REAL analog filters?
Well, to me the Monotron is fantastic news - how the f#$k can anyone complain about this, and at that price? I mean, the amount of bitching about the "big three" Japanese companies not making analog, and now they do and some are still not happy. To me this is a step in the right direction, I think i...
