Re: What will be the best synthesizer....
There are actually quite a few rumors going around that Roland is announcing a "Jupiter" at the Winter NAMM in California (january) I am going so I will def. post something on here if it turns out to be true :) Although a) i doubt it and b) even if they do I doubt it will live up to its name.. Soun...

Re: good price for a fizmo?
nah mate, I wouldn't pay more than $800 for one myself. I was interested in getting one a few years ago, all but bought it from a guy selling one and he stuck it on ebay (tell me, why do people always do this once you've arranged to pay and ship?! - damn that pisses me off  ) Anyway, I digress...

Re: RE-201 reverb help!
...Oh man now I want to check the label on mine to see if it was manufactured by beautiful girls too. I think they all have that written on them from what I've gathered. To the OP, let us know how the repair goes on, I've got a 201 that I bought non-functional with the opposite problem to you...

Re: Inherited Roland System 100 - HELP!
Hey 05busse, If you have a model 103 mixer I've been looking to buy one for ages to go with my model 101, let me know in case you have got one. ;) Anyway I think the previous poster had an issue with the way you come across or something 'cause vintage gear gets shipped all the time (and goes for top...

Re: V synth vs V synth GT
interesting back and forth...so the ap synthesis didn't put anyone over the edge with the gt then, i'm taking it? No, Why? Unless you must have the latest of everything I see no reason for it, I don't see the extra features as adding much for my needs. At least look at it from a cost perspective, O...

...You have your preferences in instruments and that's great, but neither is better than the other . I said that earlier but people only seem to see and read what they want. And did you read my earlier post?, I said exactly that and yet you say no-one hears what you're saying. All I'm reading from ...

Re: Dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say about synths
Furthermore, what's usually pretty funny about this site are the few individuals who constantly get upset by many of the posters here considering analog synths more desirable than digital ones. The site is called "Vintage Synth Explorer" (VSE), why on earth would it surprise anyone that people who ...

Re: I need help figuring out the synths this guy uses
No offense, but I think your priorities are way off for what you're asking - like why are you happy to spend 2 - 3k on a luxury synth like the Andromeda when you are equally happy to effectively "steal" what I assume is a pirated copy of Ableton? By your own admission you haven't yet properly...

Re: Does such a sequencer exist?
Touché!Hybrid88: Yep still got the ETI back home in Launceston, though it's still in pieces at Tafe. When I get back there from Norway, one of my first quests is to get it up and running. Let me know if you know any great Taswegian synth techs! Hey cool, nice to see a fellow synth lover in Launcest...

Re: Does such a sequencer exist?
But step recording means it does step through the sequence. ??? Sorry if I'm not getting yer meaning. The QY70 for example, you set the note length and start pressing keys - it steps through the sequence in steps the size you've set. You can change the note / step size at any point. Nice and easy. ...

Re: Does such a sequencer exist?
Hey Arddhu, If you don't need poly I think most analog mono sequencers like the Korg SQ-10 etc let you step through notes to "preview"/retune pitch, but they're very expensive now. If you're ok with DIY try the Ray Wilson 16 step sequencer, It's a pretty cool analog sequencer - http://www.musicfromo...

Re: Micromoog - $50 Craigslist!
AFAIK all moogs are 1v/Oct (actually Bob Moog pioneered/developed the Volt/Oct standard) FYI, the moog multimoog is actually 0.98 V/Oct. I know cos I have one... I could be wrong, but I believe the micro is as well... Interesting, I didn't know this. Are these two units meant to be different from t...

Re: Micromoog - $50 Craigslist!
Thanks for that link. That company sells the exact cable I'd need for $27. Now, does anyone know scale is the micromoog's control voltage? Is it like a roland or like a korg? ie 1v/Oct or hz/volt... AFAIK all moogs are 1v/Oct (actually Bob Moog pioneered/developed the Volt/Oct standard) - the diffe...
