Re: Why the V-Synth is the best thing Roland ever did
The V-Synth is Fisher Price junk. The "Time Trip" pad and other gimmicks show that it has more in common with the Casio Rapman than a serious instrument. For the same money you can get an Ipad and Beats by Dre cans. Probably the mpc app too. Hysterical! Sarcasm is so tough to pull off online. The "...

Re: In a Paris music store a few weeks ago...
To be honest I think he sounds like a twat.
Intellectual honesty? What the f**k has that got to do with anything.
It's a bloody drum machine not world poverty. Either you care enough to get the real thing or as a musician you accept that the TR-8 is a very workable substitute.

Did Hans Zimmer use one on Days of Thunder?
Was watching it the other day and pretty sure I heard some CS brass on there.

Amen to that.ranzee wrote:Add Australia into this argument please.
The obvious discrepancies are the cost of freight and exchange rate - but these are clearly separate and distinguishable items. There is still a major price difference ...
Boutique rack gear and synths are hideously overpriced here.

Re: Headphone Reviews---WTF?
...I too enjoy the Beyerdynamic DT-770s. So much so that I have a pair in the studio (250 ohm), and a pair at the day job (32 ohm). With them on, isolation is solid; take them off and it's St. Pancras. For IEMs I really like the Shure SE535s. Not only do they sound great (to me), but with the tripl...

Re: Headphone Reviews---WTF?
haha yes, I have learned to take a ginormous sized grain of salt with headphone reviews, there is just a wealth of hyperbole out there that really isn't helpful at all. Part of the problem is that there are just so many good headphones out there now it's hard to distinguish what's what, I'd say it's...

Re: Would you have different synths without internet ?
I know for a fact I'd have far, far fewer synths if I didn't discover VSE
In fact probably different ones too, I used to only like modern gear. How things change haha

380543283156 So lets just pretend it is the best cable known to man, I still don't get the point of it?!? :? It's still going to be limited by whatever bog standard wiring is in your rack gear/amp, plus there's every chance if you're anything like every guitarist that's ever existed then the thing ...

^ lol yeah I was going to say about the joystick, the thing is quite clearly bolted to the chassis and made of solid metal, this is no Poly 800
