um...
*looks at Micron*
This one has shortcuts too...
has sequencer types and drum maps too...
Only 4 way multitimbral, but not like the miniAK has any more voices to actually *use* those extra timbres.

Re: E-mu e5000 vs e6400 vs Roland S-760
The E6400/e5000 synth roms are rare as hen's teeth. AFAICT, they do NOT use Proteus ROMs, and the @32MB of the ROM is subtracted from your available sample RAM.

Re: Korg R3 Synth/Vocoder
We have one here, its basically two timbres (and 8 voices) from a Radias; same engine as the MicroKorg XL, and an improvement from the original MicroKorg.... with full size keys.

Re: Ensonic EPS - Key quality?
Each key sends separate aftertouch data. whatever you are using to create sounds also has to respond to poly aftertouch... usually you turn it to channel aftertouch when you dont need it cause it does generate a lot of midi traffic

Re: Ensonic EPS - Key quality?
If its had the keyboard fixed, and its kept clean, the EPS has a very high-quality key action manufactured by Fatar for Ensoniq. The keys are semi-weighted, so they may feel different than most of your other keys. Also, the EPS can transmit poly aftertouch (per-key aftertouch) where others only tran...

Re: Nord Wave VS Andromeda VS Poly Evolver
all 3 are very different: digital sample+synthesis, VCO polyanalog, and DCO hybrid. They would compliment each other with little if ANY overlap. for what you described I'd say the A6 is what you're after - but then I've only had the MEK and never touched a Wave. PEK is plenty psychedelic but usuall...

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!
Some of the components necessary to make a CS-80 are 'not available', and there is no modern equivalent. Starting up production on a new analog semiconductor is a risky proposition and expensive, they can't just roll out the old schematic because the whole thing would need to be RoHS complaint- and ...

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!
Look, you're arguing a bunch of nonsense. Basically you're saying that Yamaha should spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to R&D and then release a new improved CS80 which only a handful of synth enthusiasts would be interested in and only a small percentage could actually afford. No you're exagg...
