what's the price for the regular unit?
AND the MSRP is always higher than the actual price on the shelf.
I'll wait to see what it actually costs.

Re: Best studio monitors under ~$200 ?
i took stabby's recomendation on the msp5s and so far they sound great. if you're actually concerned about mixing on the monitors, i would budget in some $ for stands or form a plan to get them in the right position some other way. no sense in buyig a tool to accurately observe subtle frequencies if...

Re: Why analog?
Everyone in the World agrees that the Bosendorfer Imperial 290 is better than a Yamaha U1 upright piano. There's no opinion in this (everything isn't about opinion). but you can still have a s**t load of fun on the yamaha! ..thus ends my erudite contribution Here's mine: Better than what? I'd rathe...

Re: Jupiter 8 versus Jupiter 6 ?
PS - to the moderators - judging by the lousy viewing figures, it looks like few visit this forum, yet I suspect these shootouts are of interest and are relevant to all. I'd recommend you move these back to the general synthesizer forum. I realise you might feel these should be sidelined because th...

Re: Mechanical machinery type patches
try the ambient trick - drum machine + a very long reverb tail. distortion also helps. or take a cymbal of something (i know, no sampling. buuuut)and then set the loop so that itsustains a relatively stable part. analog cymbals can sound like steam, bass drums can sound like big heavy machinerey, tr...

Re: Beginner Synth (Under $700)
In my opinion, the best synth for under $700 is a used Alesis Ion. The Ion is the best sounding VA ever created. It's analog reproduction is second to none. It's loaded with knobs for hands on programming. The Ion has 8-voice polyphony with 3 oscillators per voice, and is 4-part multi-timbral. Yup,...

how about combining all 4 of these posts with the post in samplers into one unified and clearly stated post in buyer's guide? or first, use the "search" feature in buyer's guide...
