Re: Alesis Micron / Impossible to transfer Sysex from PC

I had a problem trying to update my dbx quantum via midi. I eventually solved it by connecting both in and out cables, which allowed the data to stream at a rate that could facilitate the transfer

Re: Rack Mount Sequencer options?

the MAQ is pretty feature heavy, and I see a whole lot of them for sale all over the web. A thing that worries me a little. If lots of people are trying to unload them... What replaced their MAQ? and/or is it buggy enough that it's not worth keeping? The MAQ has been discontinued recently. It has s...

Re: ESI 4000 CDROM Drives

I have a set of burned "discs" (on a data disc) too called emulator standards, which is probably incorrectly named. The world percussion disc is corrupt, which is a shame since that's one of the discs I would be most interested in! Did they ever rename the set, or is it possible there''s a single do...

Re: Changing MIDI volume

If the dx7 us set up like the tx81z, could you split the output of the DX and send the arp through the left out and your keyboard part on the right, and adjust the outputs accordingly? And is there a way to adjust the maximum velocity the DX will respond to? Or evene turning velocity off so everythi...

Re: Have synthesizers Improved in 35 years?

I'm thinking it's because newer artists have a different relationship with these instruments, they admire the material made with them and didn't have to buy them new so for them it's nostalgia and filling the shoes of their heroes while the heroes themselves are probably just pissy they spent the 1...

I have a mini, 2 lb, 4 voice Jupiter 8 on my lap that runs on batteries, with midi and a sequencer. Improvement.

Re: If you were doing Chicago house what synths

Does anyone know if the brassy orchestra hits in "Strings of Life" are from the Mirage factory library? I have an incomplete set of disks and it's not on there. I'm pretty sure they're from this: the only mirage sample disk I have (so with our powers combined....!!!) http://i67.tinypic.com/24bqa1h....

Re: LASER Mammoth is a browser based SysEx Librarian

This is cool! Access Virus... Would this work with the TI? ( I suppose I could just try it, although there is the risk of patch loss). Any support for the Fizmo, M1, or Tx81z?

Re: Would you make this trade?

Why is he trying to get rid of this microkorg so bad? And if the microkorg is so great, why doesn't he want it anymore? The MK isn't exactly rare, and not particularly sought after or all that spectacular (yet I'm sure fun, and very capable, especially if it uses part of the Radias' sound engine), s...
