I do a lot with just one 303 you mean. Have owned an x0x as well, not as good as the 303 imo.
Soundwise? surely with the ba662 and the other rare parts they are exactly the same?

Re: 1st synth - specific features

Virus B would fit the bill if you can get one cheap, lot's of effects and 3 oscs + a sub oscillator. Knobular interface too.

Re: Maybe I'm not as strange as I thought...

Haha well, nobody seems to notice usually. But once I was jamming alone in a corner once during a gathering of family friends and a friend of Bubblyfish, Glomag, and Bit Shifter saw the LSDJ logo on the back of the cartridge and said hi. We talked, and a couple months later I had a signed Bubblyfis...

Re: electric bass compression and DI questions

yep, what pickups are you using? P/J/MM? there are a lot better bass compressors around than the boss one's trust me. and if your're after a sansamp i'd probably reccomend the new character series, they've got full 3 band EQ's instead of just the high low control, and the VT does a great Ampeg SVT. ...

Re: I just pre-ordered Korg DS-10 PLUS

Really? What about the new DS XL, same as the DSi? The DSi XL (and the japanese version DSi LL) is mostly identical except for the bigger screens and longer battery time. If you want to use a DS for music in some manner then a DSi (or DSi XL/LL) is probably slightly better. Aren't the speakers also...

DS has 12 BIT DAC's AT 32KHZ sample rate, and DSI is 16 at 44.1 IIRC
