can't go wrong with a high end HP and windows 7 from my experience. Got a DV6 and it's given me nothing but f**k s**t, hot, no battery life. doesn't even record music properly, it screw's with my soundcard and delete's sections. the charger f**k itself in 2 months. maybe not high end, But i'm still...

the FZ-1 is a lot technically better than the X7000. and if you're looking for something to compliment your MPC you should get something that sounds different. My vote goes to the FZ-1.

These with a copy of Renoise is actually a tempting idea. renoise is shockingly system efficient when hosting vsti.
