Re: Need some mixing advice
I just stick close to my references and go have a listen through my car stereo every now and then.

Re: Need some mixing advice
I think mixing on headphones is a really bad idea actually, it's very difficult to get a mix to translate well from headphones to other speakers. K702's translate okay IMO but that's only because they're very sharp and have unboosted bass on them. Biggest problem with headphones is your stereo imag...

Re: The Tomita "Whistle" patch
It shouldn't be too difficult to recreate if you can keytrack the filter cutoff correctly. It sounds like it has a tiny bit of envelope on either the resonance or volume too. I think a lot of the special sauce in that sound is coming from the gear combined with some nice vintage effects. I've always...

You need five voices to really play "jump" right with the octaved bass notes.Stab Frenzy wrote:Also why are you complaining that it's only four voices?

Re: Cyclone TT-303
Why would anybody buy one of these over a x0xb0x when the filter is even f**k wrong.
Do people actually at all care about the form over the functionality when it comes to a synth that came as ugly as the 303 anyway?

Re: How exactly do you guys record songs with hardware synth
Meanwhile, I don't find the sequencing in REAPER to be that *different* than Cubase. I have a general distate for piano rolls in general, I am very sensitive to the differences between them. Cubase has a lot more features, greater efficiency in usage. Not to mention the notation view among other th...

Re: LuSH 101 Multi Timbral Synth
D16's Phoscysnfcucnncncon or whatever it is (the 303 emulator) works perfectly for whenever I need Acid sounds, D16 stuff is good but it's expensive for what it really is. It's like they imagine themselves to be some sort of boutique VST outlet or something.

I've always found sequencing in reaper to be laborious next to cubase and other DAWs.Ashe37 wrote:REAPER?

I wouldn't use FL for sequencing external synths via midi. I've heard of nothing but pain.
Maybe try cubase?

Re: New Access Machine!
If I'm honest I'd be willing to pay a lot for a virus VST standalone. I mean I'd be using it connected up to my PC most of the time anyway, I've got plenty of processing power to spare.
I'll wait and see what happens with the TI3

Could you please re-create the brass sound from Super Mario Karts "Rainbow Road" for SNES? And then tell me how you made it? So i can re-create it on my D-550? Re: New Access Machine!
Actually, the screen is to the right of the buttons not the left so it can't just be a different coloured snow. Maybe it's a Snow 2 or a Ti3? Nah the screen is above the triple knobs on both, opposite to the side with the double knobs. I think the picture is just mirrored or something. I'd LIKE it ...
