Re: Name ONE favorite pedal (+more)
I thought I would love the Pigtronix Mothership but it just doesn't track well enough with my bass. It did fine with guitars and synths (or course). The ring mod is one-of-a-kind, though, and is lamost worth the price I paid anyway. I ran the 808 kick through it for a really gritty super-bassy sound...

Let me know if you get anywhere near North Florida. I've been thinking about doing a Kennedy Motorcade reunion show or two. We do thebindie rock thing as well as psychedelia and some punk. There are some decent place to play here but the pay runs from dismal to non-existent.

That's probably the best $550.00 you ever spent.

If I have to explain who Mark is to any of you then you really are on the wrong forum. If you feel the need to make elitist remarks like that on this forum nonetheless, being the relative newbie then you should be forced to listen to Barry Manilow, at full volume, while being flogged by Tattoo from...

I'd also like to pit in a vote for the Digitech Jam Man. I'm normally not a fan of Digitech but anyone using the Boss loopers should take a look at the Jam Man.
It can store literally hours of sound and tons of loops.

Re: Name ONE favorite pedal (+more)
The RT-20 was absolute c**p. I was lucky enough to have access to one for several months before helping the owner sell it in EBay. I still love the DL-4, though, and have had zero problems with it. I also have the FM-4 but it's not quite as cool to me. I'm sure the Timefactor is a great pedal but th...

Re: Your Rig---but 20 Years Ago
It's funny to me that anyone would find the sound of analog synths lame but I remember when that was the popular opinion. I am an oddball in that I never thought they sounded lame. For me, synths didn't become lame until the 80's.

I alrady posted this pic in the setup pics thread but here it is again: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/DoggyDig/ChrissJamRoom.jpg You can see the Yamaha CS-50, Peavey bass amp and the Meinl bongoes. Behind the girl, beneath the drum throne is the Hofner in its case held together by a bungee ...

Re: Animoog acting buggy with ios5
Innerestin! I may have had the slide switch on but it is set to lock rotation, not mute sound. I haven't had the problem again with either Animoog or Rhythm Studio but there is something else going on with RS when setting up a new song. That's a topic for another thread if I don't get it figured out...

Let us know how it works out for you.
Also, it's nice to see someone using the DDD-1. I think it's a very under-rated machine that is capable of some very neat sounds.

How is the room furnished? Do you need to use it for anything else besides recording?

Animoog acting buggy with ios5
I upgraded the iPad to ios5 the other day. The upgrade process itself was a nightmare. It took quite a while because Apple's servers were having issues. During this time the iPad was just a paperweight but that's another story. Anyway, after the upgrade I was digging ios5 until Animoog froze up. Lik...

For those of you int eh North Florida area, I will be playing with Luscious Lemon at Freebird Live tomorrow night adn again at Jackrabbit's on January 13th.
Despite name (and the ownership) of Freebird, it's not all Southern Rock there by any means. They have good music, too.
