Re: Possible synth find...Wish me luck.

OK, I feel like a copmplete dork. The good news is that there were actually four keyboards, not three. The bad news is that the Roland is a "JV-something". I'm guessing it's a JV-80 or a JV-90. I would like it to be one of the rack, mount JV's but someone who doesn''t know anythign about synths proba...

Re: Studio Electronics SE-1

no s**t!? is it that bad? why? Sorry, I was having a bit of fun. Pretending it was bad so that you'd let me buy it for $20.00. IU forgot to add the little emoticon that would indicate I was being sarcastic. I hope I didn't dissuade you from buying it because I was trying to be a commedian. I hear i...

Excuse me, honey...What's this oily residue on the back of my MicroKORG?

Have you been shagging my synths again?

Re: Possible synth find...Wish me luck.

I thought I might find out today but I have to wait until Monday. This is one of those Southern Style Mega Churches and I have absolutely no qualms about "ripping them off" if that simply means they offer something for free or cheap and I accept. I would never break into their storage closet and ste...

Re: Possible synth find...Wish me luck.

Actually, I'm not sure if she said "a lot of knobs" or just "knobs" so it could be almost anything. I am hoping that there will be something my friend wants, one that I want, and one we can sell on Ebay for a few bucks. A pair of Mini Moogs would be perfect. That way I would not be tempted to keep t...

Re: Studio Electronics SE-1

It's worthless junk. Only worth about $10.00. Please let me know who is selling it and I will give them twice what it's worth (that $20.00 U.S.) just so that nobody else gets suckered into buying this utter piece of c**p. Don't worry, I am not just trying to score one of these and I don't have a pla...

Re: Rant: No more microkeyboards!!

I don't have a huge problem with small keys or small synths. A good controller can mitigate that problem. I actually like the keys on the MicroKORG. I saw the Korg Micro X today and it was full-sized keys. It looks like a mini X-50. The knobs are the same and the sounds sound the same to me. They su...

Re: Another dead instrument

The batteries seem to be making contact. I will have to do some more testing.

On a positive note I picked up the 808 and the CS-50 from the repair shop today. I haven't played them yet and I can't wait.

Possible synth find...Wish me luck.

A friend of mine works with a church lady who plays the organ at church. She just switched churches two weeks ago and the pastor showed her his storage room where he has three "old keyborads" One of them is a Roland something-or-other but she doesn't remember what the other two were. She said they w...

Re: Another dead instrument

So what would cause the 606 to work with the AC adapter but not with battery powere. There doesn't seem to be any battery leaskage issues inside the battery compartment.

Is ther esomethign specific I shoudl check if I want to fix it myself?

Re: Another dead instrument

My power supply arrived this afternoon from Hong Kong so I plugged it in not really thinking anythign good would happen but, amazingly, the things works perfectly!

I hate the fact that it does not work on battery power but at least it's working.
