Re: Roland VP-330 Human Voice Filter
Aye! Thankya thankya. I'm starting to think so. I might just add an amplifier section to it, it's pretty quiet without something.

Re: synthetic voice ?
Smug superiority? I resemble that remark
And I just remembered an online speech thingy by att here. My co-workers and I used to all turn on our pc speakers and entertain ourselves to no end with that one.

Re: Hardware Arpeggiator Recommendations?
I had one a long way ago, and yes for this reason it was a P.O.S. couldn't really find use for it and flipped it. The speed control has zero precision so if you're trying to beat sync by ear forget-about-it.Eddy wrote:No midi sync.Z wrote:Anyone have any experience with an Akai ME20A Arpeggiator?

Re: Hardware Sampler with the most sound f**k possibiliti
+1 for e-mu. My ESI-32 has a unique processing tool called transform multiply. It blends 2 samples together, accentuating the harmonics that are similar between them and rejects the rest. The result either ends up sounding like a vocoder on random frequency bands, or complete noise and clipping soun...

Re: Roland VP-330 Human Voice Filter
Ha. At first I thought "how is that supposed to sound like a choir, it sounds like an ensemble effect", but you turned it on later at around 1:50. I don't know how that thing works exactly, but I'm pretty damn impressed. I've been looking for such sounds for quite a while myself. It would be intere...

Roland VP-330 Human Voice Filter
I have been developing a prototype emulation based on the circuit of the VP-330 Human Voice choir sound. It needs some work still but here is a quick demo of the progress. The JH Triple Chorus I built is featured as well. I'm having to stop work on it as I will be moving soon. http://www.youtube.com...

Re: HELP! UPS Smashed My MATRIX 6
I was using the US post office priority mail. Until recent I've been able to send small/medium keyboards safely, even a Jupiter-6 at one time. But the Post Office just destroyed a JX-10 that was boxed with lots of bubble wrap and extra cardboard inside. Guess it was just too big and bulky for them t...

Re: Roland JX question
The JX-8p can be edited with MIDI. Get the manual/midi spec from the Roland website and assign the controllers in your favorite capable host software. MOTM Unisyn is a stand alone synth programming software and has a profile already set up. It appears the JX-3p needs to be upgraded before it can be ...

Re: Rant: No more microkeyboards!!
Marketing that is playing to the guilt of taking up too much space. Things that are slimmer, more compact, smaller, and generally on a diet MUST be more sensible. Except for the keys, the microkorg is a decent little synth. Just add its guts to full size 49 keys. Would that have cost $20 additional ...

good candidate for wooden end panels. Something to think about anyway. Hit up Analogics and see if they can help.

Re: Withdrawals
Withdrawals every single time I flip a Juno-106. Made the mistake of selling the one from my personal collection. Now I have two that currently need the voice chip cleaning and none that play right. Still reeling from letting a second Polysix get away last year. The ensemble section is so nice. Went...
