Re: Polysix KLM-376 power supply problem
Turns out that Q4 (2SB744A) is fried (shorted out), what could have cause that ? Just wear ? Or something else ? You may have found the cause (or another symptom), transistors that short will cause excessive currents that fry resistors. Transistor killing transients may be getting through if the bi...

That's no arranger, that's looking like something cool.
EDIT: I just looked up the PA4X, it does look like that. :/

Re: Tracks featuring Matrix-12 and Pittsburgh + SH-101
That's some good input clubbed. I think I know what to do, and how to uncook some of the fried dynamics. Also the individual tracks needing a better sense of hierarchy - too crowded at times.

Garranimal's Tracks
Thanks for checking out my latest work :) Download on Soundcloud . Comments, criticism, and ideas for improving are most welcome. The first is an all Matrix-12 track featuring a crispy, snappy Korg Volca Beats on rhythm. https://youtu.be/CaUK7vUNQRY The second is a remix of the first track done on a...

Re: Korg Might Be Up To Something.
Do you think this: https://trademarks.justia.com/866/99/minilogue-86699642.html is somehow related? I'm still interested in this Minilogue idea. It would most likely have minikeys. Perhaps it is a new synth design based on a revamped microkorg w/ analog oscillator(s) + filter(s). They spelled it *l...

First impression: it does not appear to have mini keys.
Are they going for a mellotron resurrection? So, what then? - tape loops running inside or grungy sample playback?

Re: how many "plug out" synths will roland make before they
I was going to wait until this weekend to download the trial, but the suspense was killing me. So ok almost 1 year ago TO-THE-DAY I had speculated on the System-100 plug. I just auditioned the trial version on my computer. There's no way to do the patch cable thing on the System-1 KB, I read on rola...

Re: What drum machine is this snare from?
Wherever the original sample is from, or what drum machine had it, it has been pitch transposed way up to give it that short snappy. To sort it out sample one of the examples, and pitch it back down.

Re: Korg Might Be Up To Something.
Er, the original instagram link that set this post up seems to have been taken down. It has been over a month since that post and no announcements have been made. I think Korg is up to nothing.

Re: That ESi-32 evil OS, sample placement Q
If you haven't done so be sure to download the manual, its very well written. Its been a while since I powered mine on, the ESI-32 behaves differently depending upon if you are in preset functions or sample edit functions. I believe you have to create the empty preset first. Make sure the desired em...

Re: Unusual Electronic Sound in Vintage Recording..
I had a listen to the first posted link, and then the second one above confirmed my initial suspicion of a vibraphone being used. As for what's being done to it is beyond me. The original recording has some distortion which adds to the unusualness. The vibes rate is faster than your average vibraph...

Re: Roland RS-202 strings - Need some help.
If it were me that lent you the stringer, I would want you to call me first thing. Tell the owner exactly everything as it happened. If it were me it would be permissible to try replacing a fuse, but outside of that I would think the owner would want to handle the repair session. You may feel respon...
