Just ordered mine.
If I don't love it... I will be flipping it for an SH-09.

VW did it. They still seem to be calling it the Beetle.Don T wrote:Could you imagine Porsche putting a 911 badge on a car that didn't have a rear-mounted, flat 6 engine?

Re: SCI DrumTraks receiving note data on all MIDI channels (
From Wine country: Operating System ROM DRUM 0.4 offers OMNI and POLY modes over 16 MIDI channels, MIDI Pads-Out commands, & velocity sensitivity via MIDI. This is the best version for using Drumtraks as a sound module with a MIDI sequencer. Op ROM DRUM 0.5 offers all Version 0.4 features plus tunin...

Re: SCI DrumTraks receiving note data on all MIDI channels (
On the P600 you need to also engage the Poly-mode for it to turn Omni off.
Might have to do the same with the Drumtraks.

Re: Project Studio Help & Frustrations With Onboard Arpeggia
I've never heard of a sequencer that also arpeggiates. Arpeggiators are mainly a performance feature, whereas sequencers are for composing. You could manually play one measure of arpeggios and then copy and paste. The Korg DW-8000 is the only 80s synth I know that will sync its arpeggiator to MIDI....

Re: Project Studio Help & Frustrations With Onboard Arpeggia
I ordered the MIDIpal... http://mutable-instruments.net/midipal But I'm still on the lookout for 80s solutions to 80s problems. ;-) I would love a list of 80s synths with arpeggiators that can either latch to midi or output midi. I would love a list of 80s sequencers that can do a decent facsimile o...

Re: Mic preamp questions
You will want to use the "LINE" input.
Also the tube should have a tiny bit of glow above and below it's plates... these are the tube's 6.3v heaters. but no it won't glow as much as the graphic displays... and if it does you know you have a problem.

Re: Project Studio Help & Frustrations With Onboard Arpeggia
I don't mind playing the arp manually for most instances... except I'm worried about the sync with FSK on mixdown. I will have to track the manually played arpeggiations to the multi-track (MR66 in this case) but on mix down will it be in time with the drum machine beats and sequences that are locke...

Re: Project Studio Help & Frustrations With Onboard Arpeggia
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm curious... What "tack" would say a kid in the 80s take to trigger an arp with a midi sequencer? I ask because I don't think I'm needing anything complicated... I just need to do the bare minimum arpeggiations, the same my measly AX60 offers... I just want to be able to...

Re: Project Studio Help & Frustrations With Onboard Arpeggia
I'm other words...
Which vintage midi sequencers can double as a arpeggiator?
and
Which synths from the 80s have arps that can i/o midi?
Looks like the MidiPal might be my best bet to avoid some ugly groovebox... unless I stumble upon a Oberheim Cyclone.
