Re: The formation: another EMX track

Dude, just take all of these songs you have made, grab a stock photo of space or something, write your name on the cover and put it up on bandcamp. No real expense on your end, and with a site like bandcamp and the 'tags', people who dig that kind of music can find it, where as the only people like...

Re: Are synthesizers for any one type of person?

CS_TBL - I'm pretty sure you could orchestrate a Ravel piece with anything. As long as you use the same intensity that you put into FM8!

Re: Neon Trooper - Evolution

NICE.

Seriously, great tune Neon. Its nice to hear a groovy progressive track like this. Right up my alley! And of course I'm the biggest sucker for Mellotron flutes!

Guitar sounds great just like it is!

Re: Could someone explain the 500 series for me

I use a lunchbox at work. It's an API 6 space. Its only got a couple of Deresser's in it right now. Next on the list is a pair of API 550a's, if not also a pair of API 550b's. I've tracked with a couple of 500 series preamps before, I think API 525's and maybe something from Purple Audio. Its all gr...

Nice performance man. Definitely looks like a pain in the a*s to pull off! Switching octaves on that lead line and remembering where the h**l you're at note (keypad) wise? Yikes.

Oh, I'm sure the new norm is going to be 'new' peripheral connections and existing 'new' peripheral connections becoming obsolete.

Re: Talk me out of getting a Polysix

Man, did you see how much that dumpster P6 went for? $433? Yiiikes The P600 is awesome. I had one for a couple weeks. Definitely sounds like a Sequential board. Definitely waaaayyy closer to the P5 than people talk about too. The processor upgrade/mod would take that thing into near perfection. If y...

Re: Talk me out of getting a Polysix

Aside from all that, DON'T just buy one because you remember wanting one a while back. Better to sit back, make/listen to some music and let natural inspiration for 'I want that' to come back into play. Yeah...on the other hand, listening to Retrosound and Jexus's demos kinda reminded me of why I w...

Re: Talk me out of getting a Polysix

Interesting. I've had the Juno 6 myself, and was less than thrilled about it. I haven't put my hands on a Polysix yet. I realize its a simple beast much like its Roland counterpart, but its got a VCO (instead of a DCO), a killer effects section, AND midi. The demo I hang my decision on is yet again ...
