Re: jx3p sequencer or juno 60 arppegiator
I'd say the JX would give you more flexibility, as you can program notes in the order you play them, instead of just chords. I would count on midi either way, I know the 60 wanders like crazy!

Re: Interesting or Vanilla?
I always seem to be chasing my tail. I absolutely love the convenience of the modern analog stuff (i.e. DSI), but prefer the sound of older technology (i.e. Prophet 5). I've gone through a couple of cycles of buying for sound, selling, buying for function, selling, buying for sound.....etc The third...

Some stuff you haven't heard - featuring Prophet 08/Tempest
http://soundcloud.com/nathaniel-johnson-1/sets/anomoly Early this year, I went through a period of experimenting with new gear. Specifically DSI's Prophet '08 synth and Tempest drum machine. Whipped this collection out in under two weeks! Soon after however, I just stopped clicking with these modern...

bah - just get better at LISTENING!
You don't really need that exact lead patch you came up with a few months ago. If you don't remember how you got to that patch in the first place...well, I'm just sayin.....

I've pretty much got to second what kenneth said - I'm at my creative best using the OS! Everything is right in front of you, no computers, no updates - simple, yet limitless sounds!

Love love love mine on the Rhodes! Its the perfect subtle phase, and it ramps between speeds. Favorite example of its awesomeness - Zeppelin's 'No Quarter'!

Re: Triggering via the Linndrum
Update: got the Y adapter and split the trigger out of the Linndrum to both the Pro One and JP6. Works great! The only problem is obviously that I can't have two different clock divides (ie: JP6 running 16ths + Pro One running 1/8ths) happening....kinda boring The kenton may still be the way to go, ...

Re: Triggering via the Linndrum
pflosi - the trigger output of the Linndrum is 5v, and both the clock inputs on the Pro One and the JP6 need to see 5v...do you think splitting that signal is going to degrade the voltage too much? I'm going to pick up a Y adapter today anyways (the ONLY adapter I apparently don't have already!) and...

Re: Triggering via the Linndrum
anyone? I'm now trying to figure out if I could clock the Linndrum, the arp on the JP6, and the sequencer/arp on the Pro One via a Kenton Pro 2000 mkII (midi'd from Pro Tools). Problem is, they all require a +5v clock signal, but the Kenton only has one 'clock' output. If I'm understanding the manua...
