Re: tempest with prohpet 600 or prophet 08

Thanks ! If you do this, I would recommend a Mono Evolver desktop so you'd have a neat monosynth which isn't like the others. Or is the Tempest good at doing stuff like Evolver ? Too expensive for me to check outl..

Re: Theoretic "huge" modular

Could one of the mods move this to Buyers Guide ? That's probably where I should have actually put this thread.

Re: Theoretic "huge" modular

That was my alternate thought. Additive synthesis. How many people do additive with their modulars ?

Korg MS10/MS20 Seller on eBay

There's a seller (buyjapan001) on eBay who I bought my MS10 & MS20 off of, and it seems like he always has a few of these. Just wondering how you think he acquires them since his posts are very sparse. They both were in good condition & had US power supplies. Do you think these were ones that sat at...

You're set.

Why ? I can't tell if you're being facetious / trying to make an a*s of me..?

Re: Theoretic "huge" modular

I wish I could simply detune each individual oscillator on the BitOne or Prophet Five.

Re: Theoretic "huge" modular

Don't forget your 11 envelope generators! Are you trying to build a poly modular or what? Not at this point, I just would like to f**k with a badass mono with a shitlot of Oscillators. This is of course a pipe dream long off, so I figure I can dream. Shiiiiit yeah, I forgot about the envelope lol. ...

Theoretic "huge" modular

So, if I wanted to build a 5 osc modular, am I on the track with what modules I would need at minimum ? PSU 5 VCO's / OSC source 5 LP filters (I realize I don't need 5 filters either, but it would be cool as tits) 5 HP filters (I know this is entirely optional) 1 VCA Of course this wouldn't have seq...

Re: What is the best basic sampler/sequencer???

I'd pick up an Akai MPC 2000XL or MPC 500 if you're strqpped for cash & call it a day. You can load as many or as little sounds as you want onto them. The 2000XL is a really easy machine to learn on & sample with too. You can map out an entire keyboard of sounds multi layered if you wish.

MPC 60 chopping & Pad Hold

So... All the samples I've loaded onto my MPC 60 so far have pretty much sounded perfect without further editing, even though there's a variance between sample length & sampling time. Is there something I'm missing here ? Was there an OS that automatically chopped them ? I don't think it's JJos, jus...
