Re: such a thing as a 2-osc poly with no patch memory?
I actually like paraphonic, I've made some pretty interesting long filter sweeps on "paraphonic" synths that wouldn't have worked out the same on polyphonic. But as it was said, its all preference

Re: G. Numan drops wise words - old vs new - blahblah
Maybe AG is just getting a little fed up. Everyone on here treats him like s**t, and he always provides valuable input. "analog kid" and whoever else just wants to fit in with everyone else on this website that is an asshole to AG. Maybe you should try getting friends by posting and having good con...

Re: such a thing as a 2-osc poly with no patch memory?
I agree with you, nathanscribe, I quit playing one of my favorite synths for quite some time because I forgot how good it could sound. I was so used to all the presets that I made.

Glad I didn't go too, what was the problem, or did it just have a bad turnout?stillearning wrote:You made the right choice.

Re: Northeast Ohio Synth Meet
I'm in Indiana, so I am about 5 hours away. It would be a bit of a stretch for me too. I don't know if my Dark Energy would still seem as fun after playing with a 2600 anyway lol.

Re: Korg Poly 800 Sequencing Glitch
no the problem starts for me when i use the joystick. it doesn't get better by using the joystick. I am not thinking that the problem is with ableton. Play the poly sometime without using ableton or the joystick. Is the problem still there? If no, then use the joystick and see if the problem is trig...

Re: Korg Poly 800 Sequencing Glitch
i dont think the poly 800 can read sysex anyway. And thats the way my poly 800 is too, im not sure why this is, but it seems to have to do with the joystick, at least on mine and a few others ive heard of. The lfo will "stick" and also detune the synth when used. For me this lasts until i switch off...

Re: Korg Poly 800 Sequencing Glitch
I don't think the poly 800 can recieve parameter control messages, so ableton shouldn't be affecting your filter at all, right? Do you ever play the poly 800 outside of Ableton? I have a problem with my poly 800 that seems pretty common with the poly 800. The joystick doesn't work as it should somet...

Re: Yamaha CS-5 vs Doepfer Dark Energy
I haven't either, but I am thinking of the glide mod too. I've only had it for a few months, so I haven't needed to mod it to keep me interested in it yet lol. maybe someone else will post their results, hopefully. But yeah, the glide mod seems pretty simple. And thanks for that good idea stab, now ...

Re: Yamaha CS-5 vs Doepfer Dark Energy
Hey Stab - thanks for your take on the DE/CS-5 combo... Really, if the two synths wouldn't sync easily, then not much reason for me to spend money on a synth that nobody says anything great about. And thanks also for the Muff clue. I didn't know about this site. Weirdly, I haven't been back to Schn...

widisoft sound to midi
Has anyone used this?
http://www.widisoft.com/english/widi-au ... di-au.html
I can't really justify buying it because I wouldn't use it much, but it looks interesting.
Are there any free alternatives
