Re: Any Jupiter 8-emulation vsts other than Arturia's?
Are there any VSTs that do a good job of emulating Roland's Jupiter 8? I am aware of Arturia, but Arturia has a bad reputation of recycling oscillators and lag issues. I personally really like the Arturia version. I haven't had any problems with lag issues when using it though, but I guess that doe...

Re: Recommend Controller for VSTs w/ lots of adjstbl. parame
there are loads of options for knob laden midi controllers. If you want all the work done for you then you're looking at novations automap stuff.. but I have no idea how well it works with your stuff, you could read up on specific compatibility. http://rekkerd.org/img/200904/novation_sl_mkii.jpg +1...

Re: Worst.. hardware sequencer.. EVER
I hated the sequencer on my orignal Roland Fantom FA-76. A simple task would take 10-15x longer to complete on it. Absolutley aweful!

Re: Favorite Analog Software Synth?
Personally I really like Arturia's Jupiter 8V and Moog ModularV. I also really like the Korg Legacy Analog Edition. I think the MonoPoly sounds pretty good on it.

Re: A reasonably priced synth which plays great ARPs
The xio and the nova are most defiantly in the OP's price range. The access viruses are all great synths, but they are not all in the OP's price range. If searched on eBay, a second hand virus can be a great deal. On the other hand a xio synth has about 2 different price points. Either A. $329 new ...

Re: A reasonably priced synth which plays great ARPs
In the price range you are looking for I think I would agree with others who said the Xio. It has a very good arpeggiator, and the synth is relatively cheap as well. I also loke the arp on the JP-8000 as well.

Re: Trance Music
I would look into the Novation Nova or Supernova. These guys are like instant trance. They are a pretty easy synth to work with. There really isn't a whole lot of menu diving with it. It has tons of buttons, knobs, and some sliders. Also, I really like the arpeggiator on it. It is pretty awesome. My...

Re: Help choosing a desktop synth
My first recommendation would be one of Viruses (B/C). Another option could also be the Novation Nova...It is a very powerful little synth. It can tend to be more on the trancey side, but it is definitely capable of doing much more than that. The microQ, though a rack unit, is a very good synth as w...

Re: Synth question.
If you are strictly a collector with infinite storage space, it depends on how insecure you are about the size of your genitals. Otherwise it's too subjective to get a straight answer. There exists the tenacious attitude that a synth which almost makes the sound you want just doesn't cut it, or to ...

Re: Alesis Micron or microKorg
I say don't buy either one of them. I really like my Micron; but given your current setup, I don't think it or the microkorg will add that much. Personally I would look into maybe a used a Mopho or Evolver. I don't know how much they go for where you are, but I think they would add something differe...

Re: New Song (fans of Depeche, NIN type stuff I guess?)
I really enjoyed listening to this! I liked what you have done here....I would think about doing something different though at about the 2:14 mark. For some reason I thought that really didn't work well with the rest of song. Overall though, great song....Thanks for posting it!

Re: xiosynth25 vs. alpha juno 2
I think that overall the Xio is the better choice between the two. It is a pretty good little synth in its own right plus it is a nice midi controller. I agree with the previous post that I would much rather look at a 49 than a 25. I bought the 25 to use as mostly a portable midi controller, but I o...

Re: Replacing Juno 106
You're already covering good ground with the Snow, LP, and EMX. Nice combo. Some options: 1. A polysynth with more hands-on control than the Snow, like a JP8080, JP8000, MS2000, Supernova, or Virus B/C. 2. Effects processor 3. E-mu Command Station (as a possible upgrade or complement to the EMX) 4....
