Paul's Boutique Low End Theory 3 Feet and Rising Donuts Since I Left You Introducing... Foley Room There is the John Cage records of found sounds and random sounds. Most of those are different. Foley Room is made of audio that Tobin and his crew recorded, not appropriated audio. 3 Feet and Rising i...

Re: MFB Dominion 1

he said price was 1390EU, which is closer to $2000 USD Not if you don't have to pay VAT! He said "One five" for the US price. Although MFB prices in the US always end up higher than the Euro prices for some reason. So I'll probably order direct. However their site still says "Available February." T...

Yes it will replace it sonically, culturally, and even physically. Pro One and SH 101 now equal Minibrute.

Re: VSE March Competition: DCO Synths!

I don't know... No audio manipulation Kind of sucks the fun out of working within the limitations, don't you think? You can safely use 2 tracks with the same audio to create an obvious third effect like chorus to get around the 2 effect rule, but if you cut the audio into sections and rearrange it,...

Re: VSE March Competition: DCO Synths!

Well, again, the focus is more on the sound of the instruments, not on the sound of the production techniques. That's the point of the competition. Yep OK I'm gonna just try and be fair to the original idea I think I have an idea of what you are saying and I do like the idea of limiting the possibi...

Re: VSE March Competition: DCO Synths!

Exactly - you just beat me to it. If you say no sampling, you also have to say no audio manipulation in a DAW. No you don't. But even if you did, I'm just trying to wrap my head around how this is in any way necessary. I can understand simple stuff like looping a particular take of whatever pattern...

Maybe something different like a cover song--all synths allowed but the original can't be an electronic song.
