Re: Elektron Analog Four vs DSI Tempest
DSI does seem open to feature requests and feedback, which is nice.
Unfortunately, they probably wouldn't be open to my suggestion of a larger display.

Re: Elektron Analog Four vs DSI Tempest
Thanks for the input. Yeah, the workflow on the Tempest isn't ideal for grid sequencing. Not awful but awkward enough that I wish it were better. I had forgotten that the A4 has no velocity input. And the thread in General Synthesizers reminded me that it also has no poly mode. That alone makes me r...

Re: Waldorf release Nave synthesizer for iPad
Pretty cool app. I sold my Blofeld quite a while back and miss it from time to time. This pretty much fills that void. I have to admit I don't understand a thing of that Wave view but it looks damn cool. They don't always use standard naming conventions but it's pretty easy to figure out once you ha...

Prophet 600 is the only one I've had that I can think of that doesn't.

Re: Elektron A4 love? hate? indifference?
FWIW the Tetra has the 16 x 4 analog-style step sequencer per voice. It may not be as capable as the A4 but you get some p-lock-type options, etc. But you do need a computer to program it.Stab Frenzy wrote:The Tetra is like a cut down version without the sequencerBitexion wrote:It's too expensive and too narrow I think

Elektron Analog Four vs DSI Tempest
:sigh: OK, let's do this. I have the Tempest and I think it's a great machine. The sounds are great--both drums and poly sounds. But I think I might be falling out of love with it a bit because of the workflow/interface. In fact I think I've been avoiding it because of it. 1. What about the A4 makes...

Re: Mono Synth
MG-1 is close except it has 32 keys
With the Minibrute, you could always hook it up to a larger keyboard and control it via MIDI or CV, which would also open up choices to desktop synths: Dark Energy, etc.
