Re: Matrix 6 with "bad power supply"? how much should I off

Not really enough information to help you... I can be as minor as a blown fuse, but also as major as dead chip inside! Is this a sale in person, or will it be shipped to you? If you can't afford to pay a tech for repair, I would suggest that you do not buy a non-working synth (or any working one old...

I second the MIdisport series: using a 2x2 is a breeze! Also available in 4x4 or rackmount 8.

Re: speaking of sequencers...

Too late: I sold almost everything that could have used it after the compagny announced this. And I don't like to buy costly stuff from out of the country by myself: nothing better than a real store or authorised retailer to deal with importation and warranty!

I wanted that too, but it's discontinued. So I sold my Techstar brain drum and my Simmons SDS7...

Looks like I didn't get the sens of what the OP was looking for!

Re: speaking of sequencers...

There is no sequencer on any of those synth drums... Both will make sound if they get the right trigger: directly on the pad for the Yamaha (or from a signal), and from an external pad/through a signal for the other thing. Not sure what you are looking to do excatly...

Hey Synthparts, do you check your private messages on this forum? I sent you some in 2011 and a couple of months ago, but you never replied to my enquiries... You should put in your signature which way is the best to reach you...

Re: HELP NEEDED ON LOCATING BATTERY POLY800

Sorry to disagree, but there are a lot of website older than 2014 that states the battery existence on the original Poly 800 or EX-800. Even the owner's manual mentions it on page 5...

Actually, most of the units do. That's all in the link I posted a week before your post.

Re: Pricing advise for near mint 1980's Roland TR 808?

Just keep in mind that if you sell it, you will most likely never be able to get another one in the future. At a reasonable price, I mean... If you don't need the money, take your time to play with it!

Re: Pricing advise for near mint 1980's Roland TR 808?

Sorry, I may have over reacted. But this is like the Jaguar Type E of drum machines, and it's really not difficult to find info about it on the net... You got to know that there is no fixed price for anything: things can sell at one price one day, and a different ball game can happen the next one! I...

Re: Pricing advise for near mint 1980's Roland TR 808?

The right price is what it will sell for. If it doesn't sell, it's too pricey. If it sells fast, it wasn't pricey enough. Now you want us to do your homework, and then you'll reap all the benefits? You come here only for this, and don't even share where you're from, or how much you have paid for it ...

Re: HELP NEEDED ON LOCATING BATTERY POLY800

Taken from http://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/synthmod/POLYEX.html

Early model mk1 Poly800's do not have a memory backup battery and so unless you keep a full set of charged batteries installed at all times the program memories will be lost when you switch the machine off.

At this point, might as well ask for a picture of the synth with today's newspaper, like in a hostage situation... ;)
