Re: Alpha Juno 2: check battery!

While it's powered on, you can put back the preset in it and it should work. All will be lost again when you turn if off, until you change the battery...

If they give it to you, take it.

Re: which synth should be set on fire?

I'd plow an axe through a synth, but would not like to burn it because of the toxic fumes...

Re: Korg Poly-61 joystick assembly alternatives

Unrelated to this subject, I find it odd that whenever I see a Korg of this era on the Internet, it has a grey power cord while every Polysix or Poly-61 I saw in person had a black one... Not even talking about Japanese or European issues, but really North Americans.

Re: Korg Poly-61 joystick assembly alternatives

What's wrong is that it's missing (the slot is empty)... This is a another unit I just got (not the M version I already have) and I was thinking about pimping it with the Tubbutec mod, but it would need to be complete beforehand. :?

Korg Poly-61 joystick assembly alternatives

Can anyone tell me if the joystick assembly on the Korg Poly-800 and/or DSSS-1 is the same as the one on the Poly-61? I can't find the exact piece to replace one when I look only for the Poly-61...

Re: Excessively Smelly Gear

I think there was another thread recently somebody had strong odors due to mdf particle board used in something. They took it outside for a day to air out and dry out the moisture causing offensive odors. Yeah, it was mine. Turns out the odor came back a couple of months later, when humidity rised ...

Re: How many hardware synths do you own?

How do I calculate a Yamaha TX-816? It's one or 8 synths? The concept is somewhat comparable with the voice expansions for the Supernova 2 (24 -> 36 or 48 voices), which still remains to be one synth. I would say the whole thing is one synth. The only difference compared to one board (or one DX7) w...

How do I calculate a Yamaha TX-816? It's one or 8 synths?

EDIT: Well, either way I bust the maximum answer... I have many small gizmos or stored synths that boosts the total!

Re: KORG SIX new exclusive products

Thank you for this precise and objective information. Until this Korg subject, I had never seen this thing... Then I guess manufacturers will make more of these new cables, and they will become common items in the future.
