Re: Any Known Bands that used the Korg Poly 61?
Or really just a PolySix! There's a row of white buttons, a red one, and there is a serial number's plate on the back, relatively close to the side.

I don't think it is. Too many things on the panel...aXL wrote:It might be the angle throwing me off a little, but it kinda looks like Frank Mertens of Alphaville (right) at least posed with a Poly-61 in this shot:
I'd go with a Sequential Circuits because of the end cheek's format.

Re: Multi-FX pedal for Juno 106 live use
I like the Boss ME-50 very much. And as weird as it may sound, there is also the bass version (ME-50B) that could fit... I encourage you to try it on!

Re: What about using different effects simultaneously?
The only thing I learned is that if I had more gear I could do more different things...
But yeah, now at least I know another option exist, and some other people too.

Re: What about using different effects simultaneously?
I really don't think I do... Seriously, all this is way beyond the concept of simply using pedals of each outputs of a synth!Stab Frenzy wrote:It's not that hard to do in hardware either, provided you've got access to a desk with phase buttons on the channels and groups.

Re: Need help on a rare opportunity!
You must understand that any 30+ years old synthesizer will need maintenance one way or the other in the future: the Yamahas on your list would be the safest choice on this matter (less likely to defect, and easier to fix).

Re: What about using different effects simultaneously?
[Blank Stare] Never heard of this technique, and most website seem to explain it using microphones or software... After looking at 5 or 6 different pages on the subject, I still don't understand how to convert L+R into M/S. :? Anyway, I guess it's another ballpark than what I meant in my initial post.

What about using different effects simultaneously?
I can't believe I'm the first to consider this, so tell me if you tried it before, and what was the result? The simultaneous part means on the 2 outputs from stereo synth, but with different effects (either pedals or rack). What if you use a chorus on the left and a reverb on the right? Or the same ...

Mine still has its original battery inside, and it's about 30 years old now. Still a good charge in it!
