Re: Alternative programmer for the Roland JX-8P

Still, at one point, you have to pay for those knobs/sliders... Can't have it for free!

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!

I have an eye on it, but I would prefer one already fitted with Europa.
(Really, I must think about setting my priorities straight!)

But first, please refrain yourself from doing multiple postings: I just noticed you already asked for advice for the same unit in another post.

Re: JUNO 106 NOT WORKING! HELP!

If you can tell us the settings you're trying to play, it may help us check if there is any good sound coming from a working 106 with the same settings...

Re: Dead Voice on Jupiter 8?

Yeah, I figured that out, but the simple thought was too weird to not highlight it!

I sincerely hope this problem is more precisely located and easier to deal with in the end...

I can't stop thinking about the 2 years' bill of a specialised technician with a $100+ hourly rate... :?

I'm honored! As a payment, you can add a quarter to the loose penny bin at your convenient store, or leave a $1 bill to the nearest busker from your location [unless he/she plays Van Halen's "Jump" with a pan flute]. =D>

For those about to Moog, we salute you! ;-)
BTW he also wants to share his appartment (see his other ad on Kijiji), so maybe you can get to live there and play with them for free!

It's not the first time he posts this add (there was more stuff before), but there is still no public prices...

I'll keep you posted: there might be a good reason after all, if only in the poor choice of words for the ad.

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!

Juno 60 for 650$ or 700$. Possibly a scam, since there are 2 types of ads (both in French & English) with a different picture and location of the synth! The answer I got from the seller [the same account for all the adds] implied he was in Europe at the moment, so why the need to sell rapidly (first...

Re: What's the best way to clean the outside of a synth?

Feel free to use as much compressed air as you want while at it. It also helps on the outside, but it works best when used at the same time while cleaning the guts. You will surely have to open the hood anyway to complete the exterior job...

Re: What's the best way to clean the outside of a synth?

Most of the time I use friction alcohol (70% USP). But you got to check if the polish can take it: use it on a small area on the sides or in the back. It gets almost everything off, even old dirty traces of hand use around the pots. The japanese synths I own were usually very well painted and/or fin...
