Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

What's more ridiculous is the total lack of info about the "custom expansion" and how it was rackmounted...

Re: I need help man. Synth like in MGMT

I am shocked to see people promoting the microkorg on these forums! Come on VSE users, think about what you are saying, it has to be the most forsaken piece of c**p i have ever set my eyes on. You know, some people just want to have fun with a synth, as a hobby. Not to be pro with the big a*s analo...

Most likely not, but I'd give it a try anyway if I wasn't on the wrong coast...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

two weeks isn't exactly a long haul for an $800 purchase. not everyone out there can just shell out immediately. most of those who can & want to already have bought the same thing for more. I didn't think like that, but I understand now what you mean. For me, after 24h on the internet, it's old new...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

There was a Juno 60 available for $800 last december in Montreal, and it stayed on for 2 weeks. There were also 2 Polysix around at the same time (that's where I got mine).

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

$1500 for a Juno 60 far away on the St-Lawrence river... Even for half his price, he might not sell rapidly it in Montreal!

Even with the shipping cost, it could be a deal for someone looking for it and can't find one around...

Re: I need help man. Synth like in MGMT

For a newbie with no prior knowledge, I would simply suggest a Microkorg. Cheap, portable and easy to find used (from 250$ to 300$). You can do a lot of damage with that!

Re: analog poly synths with midi control

Using a Roland D50 to control the Poly61M, I was surprised to notice that the bender information wasn't going through (but it did on other synths). I haven't done much midi check on both synths to try to understand this...

Re: Again: Juno or Polysix?

$800 for a Juno 6 is out of the line in ANY market: just forget it, and simply tell the seller it's too damn overpriced. Otherwise, I can't add much to the thread. I like my Juno 106, just getting to discover the Polysix, and barely touched the Juno 6. Never used a Prophet 600 either... Unless you c...

And if you are in the habit of losing things, the Studiologic Sledge is perfect for you, you can see this a mile off as it is as about as yellow as something that won first prize in a yellow competition

Re: used synth market

I bought all my synths locally in Montreal (or within a 20 miles radius) in the past 2 years (except for Chamber of Sounds boxes). I event missed a Jupiter 6 for $1500 and a Yamaha CS70M for $1800 because I didn't have the money at the time, and numerous other synths passed away before my eyes only ...
