Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
By the looks of it, her husband left behind a pair of Arp 2600's, a 2500, an EMS Putney, and who knows what else. Probably a pretty good deal for someone in LA. Maybe it's a scam? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/msg/2758500151.html but then again, maybe it wasn't a scam...... 130619905268 ha -...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
I was looking pretty hard at that one. since all that paia stuff was DIY, I don't think the sum of its parts are worth that kind of coin. at $3k you'd probably get a taker. $2k or so is where I'd be in at. You could get four 9700s systems for just over $2k and have a loads more powerful setup.

Re: New. Fresh. and Exciting!
alesis ion or jp8000? poly, sound modern, no menu diving. cheap. you'd get a lot of mileage out of an ion and there's always someone looking to buy. or you could grab yamaha an1x or a dx7 and just load available patches into the machine. dx synths have ridiculous patch libraries online and the an1x ...

Re: I just realized what I want - A true hardware Maschine
FWIW - I totally agree with you on the whole DAW clogs up the workflow thing. My counter to that is to grab a cheap but fully functioning laptop and use it ONLY to run maschine. software becomes hardware and your i/o is set by whatever pcm/cia card system you use (emu 1616m?). there won't be anythin...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.
bass station racks are running $325-400 and the last drum station i saw went for almost $300 I was watching a number of bs on craigslist for avg of around $220. I bought mine for $300 thinking I was safe there and it eventually sold for $220. both units in one bid should top out at about $500. .......

When is this fool going to get the idea that this should be like $400 - tops?

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
I agree. the one I bought for $40 that was owned by kmfdm was a better deal. but, given that I shipped one to norway within the last year for $250 that did not include any accessories, $177 of total cost for a VG condition cz synth that includes the difficult to find memory card is an interesting li...

Re: Current standing of the Yamaha EX-5???
Is it still a capable synth worth buying? Or has it long since been outperformed by other synths around the same price range? any of the ex5's individual components make it kind of lack-luster compared to machines designed to do those things. the sampler is "ok" but very antiquated. I never legitim...

Re: an ax80 for a jx3p with programmer
well I'm glad you like your jx-3p. it's all about what you're into because the 3p and 8p are both very unique as is the ax80. I personally much prefer the aggressive sound of the ax80, but I always regretted selling the 3p because it's one of a kind. good for guitar-synth string type sounds. I perso...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
by all accounts not a "great" price, but interesting because it's a "fair" price and it includes the cz memory card which is dern near impossible to find. and the unit looks pretty clean. pretty good deal for anyone looking to add a cz to the mix.

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
to me an item is interesting if it's: a) significantly below current asking price b) rare c) a strange listing. that listing was significantly below asking price as a BIN and I would have hoped that someone here would have snatched it up for $1k. To me it's triple interesting considering you could h...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
I think it's just his personal war on price levels. Hey, we're just as much to blame as the next guy. Even if there were no monetary values associated to things and it was barter/trade environment heavy demand + limited supply = high value. If you have gummy bears but want swedish fish, you'll proba...
