Re: DSI Evolver vs. Ensoniq Fizmo

Yes, yes get your jabs :) I knew I had to be missing something for me to have found a flaw mr smith hadn't already thought of. I think I was so frustrated when I realized the problem, I didn't bother to dig too much deeper when the solution wasn't immediately apparent. I'll have to fiddle with...

Re: DSI Evolver vs. Ensoniq Fizmo

The problem I have after spending way too much time with my evolver(s -I've had every breed at this point :) ) 1) I guess I never noticed (or maybe it's not that way on the desktop) that the osc's pan to each side of the output. Therefore -> if you want heavy unison (as 2x2 analog/digital osc's woul...

....back to business

the bright side is "i'll earn $100 in ebay bucks"

(yes i'm aware the idea is just to accept offers, but amusing nonetheless)

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!

$350 seems to be the going ebay rate. I assumed they were worth a touch more than the jx-3p but it appears not.

On second thought, it's probably not THAT interesting even if they were giving it away..... my badness yo

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

Bass Station Keys ($500 +/-) If people are paying $500 for a Bass Station keyboard they're getting ripped of in a big way, those things normally go for $300 tops. the one i sold a couple years ago went for $350 if i remember correctly. last one on ebay was $360. hey - if I want to spew bad informat...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

fair enough. I'm just offering my opinion. micro/multi has a lot more hands on, but they're also much easier to get your hands on (i'm patting myself on the back for the play on words 8-) ) I was comparing them in size more than anything. Heck a Mek is $850. Loads more flexible I know with lots of k...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

What would be a good price for a VX-600? They're pretty rare, with a pretty neat looking spec. I'd like one, but I wouldn't want to pay over the going rate (again). fwiw, SOMEBODY seems to think $1100 is an ok price. I'd say given what a micro/multi moog goes for, it's not terrible. I'd say the che...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!

200640616506 I want i want! Seems slightly salty though, no? I thought going rate was somewhere between 10-15K at the moment? This one looks pristine, but IDK how I feel about a guy that can't spell "manhattan" and copies and pastes the vintagesynth write-up for a 10k+ instrument. Plus it's so clos...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

the fx-20s are the next generation after the 70's PASS analog organs from yamaha. They are, though, not analog, they're very digital. I've never played one, but I'd imagine Yamaha went digital because it was cheaper and all the rage at the time. Also more reliable over time. My guess is that the vas...
