Modern generic controller to replace PG200,300,1000 etc...

Hi Is there a generic controller I can buy to replace all my seperate controllers (Roland PG200, Roland PG300, Roland PG1000) so I just have one controller that will access and edit paramitors of ALL my rack modules regardless of make (Yamaha, Roland etc)? Combine into a midi keyboard would be ideal...

I am happy using software to sequence, just not for sounds. So if I use Ableton to sequence and mix, recording onto a HD I can still preserve the anologue sounds? I assume soft fx will kill it, so I would still have to use rack based fx etc.

Hi - What are the cons of using all analogue/midi machines and then ableton/logic/pro tools to sequence, mix with? Will computer/software seq/mix process/change the sounds to much? Iam told yes and that I will have to mix with a desk if I am to preseve the analogue sounds. I dont mind using the mac ...

At the moment I am using 100% softsynths via controllers. I spend all day looking at a PC screen working as a DB analyst, so when I come home its hard to switch into music making mode due to feeling totally disconnected. Therefore I want to go down the analogue machine route. My sound is early 90's ...
