Re: Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
Want a synth because I actually do want a keyboard to use as well as the sample uses described above. OK, so I bought the Juno G. I may have buyer's remorse though. Have not run it through the motions with the samples yet, but I am not thrilled with the piano sounds. I know I can buy an expansion ca...

Re: Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
Any other options I should look at just to compare? I would consider spending more for a Fantom g6 or g7 id they would be significantly better choices for my purposes.

Re: Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
Hmmm...I am probably hard to understand because I am a guitar guy trying to do synth stuff with no frickin' clue. Would chromatic sampling be taking a single sample and pitch shifting it on different notes of the keyboard? That is NOT what I am doing. Basically, I have a Roland PK5 bass pedal midi k...

Re: Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
From what I understand, you either have a choice of assigning samples to a "patch", so that the same sample plays at different pitch, or you can assign to rhythm groups (I am referring to them as pads). In this situation every key then plays a different sample. This is what I need...to be able to as...

Re: Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
I can pick up a new or used of anything...just want to buy the right thing the first time around. So I was hoping for some guidance from users who had done a lot with the rhythm pads in particular, and knew how easy or hard it might be to accomplish what I want with various synths. Juno G is $699 ne...

Re: Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
One I am looking at is the Juno Stage. My only concern there is whether it can handle enough different rhythm pads. Best Buy has it online for a great price of $799. I almost worry that it is some special prosumer version with some features missing from what they sell at other sites since it is so c...

Best synth for handling rhythm samples?
Wondering if anyone can help me choose the best Roland synth for my purposes. Here is what it needs to accomplish: I am a guitarist, and currently I use a Roland PKA5 bass pedals footpedal board to trigger samples that I have assigned to it. That way I can play some synth with my feet for our 3 piec...
