Re: Pure FM Synths.. How? What? Why?
This is a good reason why owning vintage FM synths is just as practical as most vintage analog synths for long term use - all through hole design (even though SMT is easier to do DIY repair, some cranks demand through hole tho) and widely found IC chips (arguably easier to find than most analog chi...

Re: Volca Bass sync options
Also curious about the Volca sync abilities. For myself, I am wanting to use an Elektron Machinedrum to keep a Volca in time (I am using the Volca's sequencer to control other gear for fluid manipulation, I love the MDUW but want to keep its tracks free for other things). I am about to get on a two...

Re: Arturia Beat Step---$99 CV step sequencer!
Well that is what you get for foisting poutine on unsuspecting tourists. I only have one zing to zay to you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8yjNbcKkNY I'm actually French/Acadien/Creole. So I'm making fun of your poutine not as an American (or worse a Brit), but as a snobby frog that thinks they ...

Re: Arturia Beat Step---$99 CV step sequencer!
Dunno. But I'll tell you what I do know: just like with the MiniBrute, even though the BeatStep is all over the US, we're still waiting here across the Northern border for ours. Pathetic, Arturia. Et je croyais qu'on étaient des cousins québécois... That said, it's probably not available in France ...

didn't see any mention of fixing the CV votlage offset bug that had been mentioned previously.Ned Bouhalassa wrote:The new firmware updates have now made this a must-buy for me:

Was that already addressed, or is it still an outstanding bug?

Re: DSI PRO 2
This is kind of cray-cray. 4 cv outs, 4 cv ins, one gate, USB and MIDI in out and thru.

Re: DSI speculation
http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/mophose/images/mopho_se_top.jpg like this alot more than the yellow. agreed, I will never buy a yellow synth. It is just such an obnoxious color to me. Though in it's own way a pile of black and grey electronic boxes is kind of obnoxious too. I think we ...

Re: DSI speculation
that looks a whole lot like a Pro one or P5. Hard to see with all that artifacting.
I was thinking P5 except there is not that strip of wood on the top that P 5's had.

Re: VSE Disco competition VOTING THREAD
My track was Seoul Drain. GEAR USED: Moog T3, Roland Sh09, Xoxbox, KPR77, Stingray, Dark Energy X2. HOW THE GEAR WAS USED: Made a 4 bar beat in the KPR77. Found a pattern I'd already made in my X0x that matched up more or less. Set up the T3 with a simple arp that only plays through once instead of ...
