Re: VSE Disco competition VOTING THREAD

My take... SEOUL DRAIN - AQUA's deeply disturbed cousin. More trance here, yet no Disco at all. Really good use of audio clips. Weird, I don't even know what trance is? This is just an unfinished song, also unedited. Normally I start at about 10-15 minutes of nonsense, then I edit it down to 6 or 7...

Re: New Moog Synth- Werkstatt

I was really close to pulling the trigger on it. Then I realized, I already own two moogs and a ton of moog processing. I will buy a Phatty or Voyager later this year too. I really don't have any need for one of those, and can't imagine what I would even use it for. And the pin patch points woulds j...

Re: VSE Disco competition VOTING THREAD

I wish I had more time to spend on mine. I never got to do guitar or any actual melody part really. I had also planned to do War style 'horns' with some harmonica.
I might still get around to it just for posterity sake. If corporate will stop making changes in the build out plans.

Re: VSE Disco competition VOTING THREAD

My faves were Automobile and Dirty Disco. Not terribly disco sounding, but then I have a hard time imagining Danny Terrio shaking it to any of these. But they are all great! http://vimeo.com/47420507 Now I need to go wash my mind out for imagining Danny Terrio. Or maybe just imagine Danny Trejo inst...

Re: Why do you use the Synthesizer you use most?

I forgot to add that since my SH09 has cv gate out, and in, it interfaces nicely with all my stuff in that realm.
Sometimes I'm even just using it as a controller for the Dark Energies and other semi-modular gear.

Re: VSE Disco Competition - ends June 1st/14

I normally output a track at normal -12dbfs. Then take that mixdown (a BWF usually) and master it in a second step to get it up to a nice average level, and flatten out any EQ humps. Well I am in the middle of a huge 3 month IT project right now, so I hadn't the extra time to do all that. So I just ...

Re: I AM Electro ~ Vocoder Suggestions

Also dont forget the EHX vocoders. I have used the Iron Lung for a while now. It sounds fine for recording but is difficult to use live because it tends ring pretty easily. Still, it accepts real mic level on an XLR for the voice and line/synth level for carrier, so you can use any keyboard (even a ...

Re: VSE Disco Competition - ends June 1st/14

finally uploaded mine last night, then quickly remastered it when I noticed all the other tunes are 10 times as loud, and the bass guitar on mine was super tiny.

Re: VSE Disco Competition - ends June 1st/14

my track is basically a fiasco. I completely wrecked it, twice, trying to mess with the tempo and trying to fix the arrangement. But I have always had a hard time passing up a challenge, and disco is pretty far from my usual melee. Don't feel bad...I tried to make the lead sound "different". The re...

Re: VSE Disco Competition - ends June 1st/14

I can probably get mine together by tomorrow. I was almost done, but I screwed up the arrangement with a selection error that I didn't catch until I had made a dozen edits. So now I have to go back to the safety copy and try and fix the part I goofed up. It would be an easy fix, but the part that I ...

Re: What do you want from Moog?

I just can't fathom it when people compare the two. I dont know I get it from. Maybe the name on the synths and the name of the company?. I see. Well, there is some history you need to learn. 1953-1970 Bob Moog had a company he called R. A. Moog. He designed the instruments, and was in charge of th...

It isn't as if we are talking about comparing a Korg 707 and a Yammaha DX7.
