Maybe the HPF filter switch is defective on the one without bass... I've never had a Juno-6/60 that didn't have bass...

The pins with the lifted pads could have traces going to them on the other side of the board. Roland often used dual sided boards. Yes you should get an iron with a temp control and you probably shouldn't use a vintage synth to learn how to solder on.

I used to have a 3-tier Invisible. I found the top tier to be useless and since you can't angle the other tiers they weren't very convenient either...

There were 2 versions of the 106 module board, some didn't have the TP2 connector. Just put your black meter/scope lead on the ground on the board you are testing (in this case to the AG/black wire in the pic (AG is Analog Ground)).
