Re: Anyone here own a Yamaha Sk30

It is the same cable as most Rolands of that era used. sometimes the wires going to the socket in the synth break off, that's the first thing I'd check along with the fuses...

I could actually move them closer together than in that pic and I am thinking of adding a 4th tier.....

Re: triple synth stands

The Standtastics are the best stands I've ever owned and I've had just about all of them... One thing you can do is use cheap industrial strut and attach it to the wall and mount Standtastic arms to it. This is what I did and is a lot cheaper and sturdier than the Standtastic wall-mount kit - http:/...

The MG-1 didn't come out until the early 80s... You're probably think of the Rheem Key Bass...

Re: New prices of synths on VSE

Try to find a copy of the A to Z of Analog Synthesisers books. It lists the original prices for every synth. Excellent books. If you just want to know a few prices I can look them up for you. I was actually on the Orion Blue Book board of advisors for vintage synth prices so I have those as well...

Re: Roland Alpha Juno 1 technical question

In my experience with dead voices on Alpha Junos it is usually the IR3R05 VCF/VCA chip. You can try swapping the one in the deadd voice with one from another and see if it dead voice follows the chip. I have the chips in stock if you need one.

There are cheaper ones too.
$1600? Seems like the new mini-MS20 hasn't affected prices at all...
