Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
I have a Poly-800mkII with reverse keys so that makes at least 2 of them... The programmable digital delay and sysex support on the mkII are good improvements over the original...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.
Yeah, absolutely ridiculous as are his other OB-8 parts. I just sold the same board, tested and working for $75 which I considered a fair price...Don T wrote:I might be wrong, but $350.00 for an OB-8 voice card with NO CEM chips at all?

Re: Any synths with keys like the yamaha cs-80?
Also the Rhodes Chroma with poly-pressure kit (now available again) which to me is the best poly-aftertouch and velocity keybed I've tried (and an amazing synth too)... Also I think the Prophet-T8 sends out mono pressure on multiple channels rather than the MIDI standard poly-AT messages (an issue i...

Re: OB-Xa with Numera midi kit
Ah glad you figured it out. I had kind of assumed you knew of the common 5V rectifier probs on the OBs. Those W02Ms from the factory were underspec'd. This is especially true on OB-8s where pretty much every one I see has had it replaced with a beefier version. This is taking it to a bit of an extre...

Re: Jupiter 6 Lfo 2 issue
how did u do that? is it easy? which contacts are those to connext? The mod is done to the bender board (located to the left of the keyboard). Replace C9 (104)w/a 10 uF cap., R34 (560k) w/a 10K pot., R35 (560k) w/a 10 ohm res., and R37 (33k)w/a 100k res. Tweak the pot for maximum range. Now LFO2 wi...

I know the filter circuit was changed from a SSM2040 (SRM) to SSM2044 (SRM II). I think the VCOs are CEM3340s in both...

Re: Jupiter 6 Lfo 2 issue
Or you can do what I did and just short the contacts on the board... That way i can dial in some LFO-2 mod with the pots directly without holding down the button. I also did a mod to increase the LFO-2 speed range (from very slow to audio rate). It's a pretty easy mod...

Re: Yamaha SK-50D Organ/Synth
I have one too. Probably my favorite string synth. Capable of some amazing sounds combining the organ, strings, mono-synth, poly-synth, and bass-synth sections. Make sure to try them all out one by one to see if all the sections are working. If you need any parts I should have them...

Re: Roland JU-60 Patch Editing Issues
As I stated if your serial number is below 344900 and it doesn't have this mod it needs to be done. It just involves soldering 2 new wires from the power supply to panel board B so I would think you friend could handle that.

Re: Roland JU-60 Patch Editing Issues
Sounds like the random resetting problem that I've mentioned in some other threads here. Is your serial number below 344900? There was a factory mod that needs to be done which involved running a couple new wires from the power supply to the Panel B board...

I also would highly recommend Greg.
If the filter works on a voice but one of the VCOs does not it could be a dead CEM3340 VCO chip. I have them in stock.

Try using one of the instrument outputs not the CLK out (which is a high freq clock originally meant to use as sync to tape signal)...
