Re: Sonic State King Korg review

What's different? Other than a tube? Wooo. You tell me. Have you ever sat at and programmed a Microkorg or MS2000? Some of the best VAs and synths of all time. I'm fine with the sound but it's nothing really new. I personally like the sound of the uK and MS2k but the filter on those sounds nothing ...

Re: Sonic State King Korg review

Sounds nice. That CV menu is a pretty cool feature. Yeah. That's really cool. Is there another synth anywhere with that feature? It can do the weird MS-20 (and I think also Yammie CS series) CV or Monotribe or Custom...all coming out of a computer. Is there any other VA on the market that can integ...

Re: Gear Trading Thread

My Casio CT-410V for your MT-400V with speakers. Mine is in great shape. Has a couple scratchy sliders and no PSU, but runs fine on D Cells.

I'm in Boston.

Re: Synth grouping

Yeah, limits are good. That's exactly why I ditched VSTs (namely the FL environment). I couldn't limit myself, and it gave me all kinds of writer's block.

MFOS Sound Lab

Anyone used one of these? I've read that it's based on/inspired by the EDP Wasp...this really interests me, as the Wasp is so rare and before I broke the hardware barrier, I was using FruityLoop's Wasp emulator quite a bit. I might be able to get one for $250 or cheaper... Here's a kind of boring tw...

Who here is ALL ANALOG?

Well, I am so far. No digital components that I know of...analog eyes, analog arms, analog legs...Maybe when I get that Tactical Neural Implant...or will that be analog also?

Re: DX 21 vs CZ 1000

It might be a bit late for the OP, but I thought I'd add, a very interesting piece made (not by me) using just a CZ-5000 and some reverb added: https://soundcloud.com/ununseptium_annex/orobus And, the CZ line had 8 envelope steps in pitch, filter and amp, which gave a certain capability that the DX...

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

Great Trade transaction completed with Synthparts. I traded a CZ-230S for a CZ-101. It was packed very nicely, and he communicated very well. Would do business again in a heartbeat.

Re: Most important synthesisers in evolution of electronic m

while i understand and appreciate the cultural relevance and re appropriation of the 303, i kinda dont think it deserves a place in the hall of 'most important synthesizers' it really appeals to such a small portion of the population, and is praised mostly for its shortcomings... Turn on a radio. I...

Re: Synth prices and inflation

Yeah, the deeper I've gotten into the synth world, and as frustrating as vintage prices can be, I've been realizing that both used and new gear today is much cheaper than it was when it debuted. Take my first synth, the ubiquitous Poly-800--it came out in '83 and was the first of its kind just under...
