Re: Favorite use of the Jupiter 8
The Neverending story (1984) - Arthur Barrow, Giorgio Moroder and Gary Chang were all big users of the Jupiter-8. Micke - a while back (I think it was you) there was posted a link to a Scandinavian TV on the history of "Every Breathe You Take". That link seems to be dead. Do you know of another lin...

Re: The Idiosyncrasies of the Oberheim DSX.
If I remember right, the DSX also has 8 channels of CV out? And it the CV can be controlled from the OB-8? Does this function vary with the rev. of the DSX?

Nice name!
I've nearly been burned by phenol. At first it turns your skin white from contact and if you leave it on too long, your skin turns black when it is burned.

Re: The Idiosyncrasies of the Oberheim DSX.
I've got the same rev OB-8 and I've always wanted to get it set up with the DSX and DX combo.
I remember seeing Thomas Dolby miming on some TV show back in the old days with this set up. I knew nothing about synths then, but it looked way cool!

Re: Looking for a Synth..(Industrial/
No offense, but judging by the links he provided I don't think hes really aiming for that particular era. Didn't most early industrial artists mainly use tape and synths? Sampling at the point, early 80s late 70s was extremely expensive and rare? Not sure when they got it, but SPK had a Fairlight b...

I liked the choir!
At first listen, I thought it was going to be a rip off of Moby who ripped off the theme from Twin Peaks. But then it quickly became something much better. I enjoyed it a lot.
And the video you picked it cool as well!
Thanks!

Re: Yamaha TG33 - Cool Blue LCD Retrofit for £4!!
DO you have any recommended LCDs for the EII? Also, How do you tell when the LCD has aged beyond it's useful life vs the backlight being out? Just a matter of brightness of the backlight? My EII backlight is dim but still shows blue light, but it looks to me that the LCD is not as contrasty as it on...

Anyone that's into hot rods, NASCAR, and street car performance will already know the name Moog, as it is a manufacturer of steering and suspension parts. http://www.moogproducts.com/pages/welcome.aspx

Re: Digital Mixer as Audio Interface - Pros / Cons? (PreSonu
I've got a Tascam US-1800 on an old PC and it works nicely. it actually has 14 inputs. The first 8 are XLR, the next 6 are 1/4". I wanted to have more than 8 inputs, so I bought a second one. The US-1800 is USB, and I was not able to get two of them to work at the same time on the same computer... S...
