I for one would love to see a Chris Franke Moog clone... 13 960 sequencers, plus interfaces, controllers etc., for starters.

Re: Roland SH-3
Hfinn: I've done some research on this and came to the conclusion that at least 3100 JP-8's were made. I have pictures of several units that have SN's in the 3000 plus range (the highest SN I have seen is #413207 and the lowest is #030118--the 18th unit off the production line-- made in April '84 a...

That was fun to watch!
He's got the scan rate set to sweep about 2 times a second it looks. No storage there, it's just the persistence of the phosphors that allows you to see the trace after the beam has move on.

Re: Checking Kawai K3 Power supplies..
The chassis should usually work for ground... but I think with this PSU I'd hook the ground lead to the analog ground for testing the +15/-15V circuit, and the digital ground for testing the +5V circuit. For testing the incoming AC, the chassis should be good for that. I'm no electronics expert, but...

Re: Checking Kawai K3 Power supplies..
I looked at the scope plots in the other thread - it's really weird that you have any voltage in the second photo which I take to be the 0V tap on the transformer. Where exactly is your ground connection for the scope? Have you tried taking the fuses out of the path from the transformer to the diode...

JX-3P - check out the "Pulsar" factory preset.
I bought a JX-3p as my first synth pretty much because of that preset.

Re: Synth1 Demo
Nice! Sounds really good! Thanks! The Synth1 VST is amazing to me. Sounds so musical and so good, it's hard to believe that it's not only free, but that it barely takes any CPU to run. I could spend hours just playing with it and programming usable sounds. Great instrument! That's cool! I remember ...

I was 6 years old when Switched-On Bach came out in 1969. I was hook by the futuristic sound of synths. I bought my first synth in 1987, a used Roland JX-3P, and bought my dream synth, a Fairlight IIx, a couple of years ago.
