Not sure I've run across the worst synth of al time, but there are certainly a lot that I have no interest in even turning on. Nvining's list is a great start at that list.

What's wrong with the tried and true method of putting it in the case and then weighing the whole thing? I guess you need to find a case and then ask the manufacturer what the case weighs...

I have a Tascam US-1800 that runs new runs just under $300, but you can probably find a used one fro $200. It's got 8 XLR and two 1/4" inputs on front and a bunch more stuff on the back. If you need a lot of inputs, this would be a good way to go.

Typically, there's a rolling window of when the price of a old synth will hit bottom and then it may come back up, depending on desireability and rareity. In the mid-late 80s, that window hit bottom for many analog synths. As people dumped them for new digital, the analogs hit bottom and people that...
