Re: Very simple beginning modular setup wanted
Maybe a bit off-topic, but can anyone tell me how to operate Z3ta+? Because none of the 'tutorials' actually cover how to make it output noise. Only how to control the noise. I'm guessing that, even though it's labelled a stand-alone program, that you in fact need something else to go with it. I don...

Re: Very simple beginning modular setup wanted
I'm thinking even about just building the circuits myself, because the ring modulator is very simple, and the oscillator doesn't look much worse. I'll likely buy a microphone preamp kit, though. Anyone have any recommendations on where to get good parts for these things? Old-fashioned parts, like th...

Re: Very simple beginning modular setup wanted
By the way, can anyone recommend this amplifier or any other one on the site? Or the speaker (the speaker with an 80 (actually 85) hertz low I spoke of)? I know a speaker already in a cabinet would be better, but I'm just interested in options and info. http://tubedepot.com/diy-k11g.html http://tube...

Re: Very simple beginning modular setup wanted
My reason for wanting to not get the Moogerfooger is that, while it's relatively cheap, it would just be wasted expense if I'm going to get a modular setup eventually, and it would eat away at my funds, making it take longer to get a board. I want to go kit wherever possible, not only for the saving...

Re: Very simple beginning modular setup wanted
I don't want it to sound like I'm ignoring everyone, but I'm just going to make a quick reply to the subject of necessary components. I am in fact reading and taking in everybody's input and am grateful for it. I'm under the impression that the voice I'm after can be achieved by simply using a mic a...

Very simple beginning modular setup wanted
I'm looking for a very basic modular synthesizer setup, and very cheap. I only need it to do one thing right now*, but I want it modular because I'm sure I'll be wanting to do more later on. My selected equipment so far is a Pittsburgh Modular Cell48 case, Metasonix R54 , and Delptronic ring modulat...
