Re: SH101 and Deoxit? Carbon faders, safe to use?

Hi

Im just wondering what the Dexoit stuff is for then, if you cant just spray it in faders like it says on the can!

I will try my best just to clean it out without using deoxit :)

Anybody else got any experience cleaning the insides of an SH101?

Re: SH101 and Deoxit? Carbon faders, safe to use?

Hi Synthparts Can you explaina bit more about why putting some lube straight in them without opening them could lead to problems? None of them are not working, some are a tiny bit crackly and they have a fair bit of dust on them. So i was just hoping to clean it up, but maybe best to just clean it w...

SH101 and Deoxit? Carbon faders, safe to use?

Hi guys I have just bought a Roland SH101 and its pretty dirty, also some crackly pots etc. I am about to open it up to replace a few parts. I will clean it with compressed air and a brush as well as I can. Then I had planned to use Deoxit fader lube/cleaner on the faders. I have read in various pla...

Re: SH101 just bought...needs some repairs, help?

Thanks for the info Well Ive just ordered a proper Boss power supply. I will replace all the broken faders, buttons and pots myself. I will open it and clean it as well as I can. Then whatever problems are left like the flashing I will take it to a synth repair place to get sorted. As far as cleanin...

Re: SH101 just bought...needs some repairs, help?

Yeah I plugged a mono jack cable from a sustan pedal into the ext clock in, and it didnt change anything. I will buy a boss power supply just so its ri...

Re: SH101 just bought...needs some repairs, help?

Hi Solderman, thankyou I will replace that release fader then. Do i have to open it up to check the pot terminals? It costs $15 for one fader or one volume pot, or for $75 I can get every fader and pot on the SH101. So even if I dont replace them until they break, do you think its worth getting the ...

SH101 just bought...needs some repairs, help?

Hi guys I just got a used SH101. A couple of strange things are wrong. The release seems to be at full all the time, and the release fader seems to do nothing. Is this likely just to be the fader, maybe just needs replacing? Or something else Also, the LFO rate light doesnt work, but all the other l...
