Hello, I am completely new to modular synths. I need something to generate noise(pink, grey, red, etc), and I was looking at the Quantum Rainbow, but I'm not certain how to use it. Is it something you can just plug in the wall and plug the output into a recorder? Or is there more to it than that? Is...

Can I just use any old midi keyboard with the Tx81z? It seems like that would be the cheapest option. If they all have the same quality and all meet my criteria, I will probably go with whatever is the cheapest of the three

I have considered software, but I am not fond of computers in my studio these days. Thanks for your responses, I think I will go with the Yamaha then, hopefully I can find one for a reasonable price.

Thank you, that looks like it may be perfect. Are there any presets(perhaps for a quarter tone scale?)? Also, would there be any audible difference between a digital sine wave and an analogue one? Does it have a volume envelope and LFO?
