So, I'm putting serious thought to a 999. I may go out to Analogue Haven and play with one today.

Kuroichi, do you have any other drum machines? How are you getting on with the UI? Have you had Jomox stuff before?

Cheers.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts. I've only ever heard one opinion, which wasn't real good, but that was because of technical problems. Hopefully, those have been ironed out.

Yeah, I saw that. Seems a bit strange. I'm not as intrigued as I was upon first glance, but they still sound like interesting/unique machines. I still am intrigued...I'd love to have a small, dedicated sequencer for the LP. Plus, I'm going to try the Midi Talking Synth soon. Yeah, my first thought ...

Has anybody dropped some low, low 808 kick samples in their UW? And, if so, how did they come out sounding?

I'd love to hear the MNM through a Jomox filter... anyone? :) As I record more and more I realize that post processing is crucial - and fun! Not me, but on a similar note... as I said before, if I could add anything to my hardware triumvirate of the MD, MnM, and FR-777, it would be a Jomox 999 and ...

At the same time though I wouldn't want it to end up being like an MPC though. I don't really like when gear is made to do too much in an ok fashion. I would rather it do something and be good/great at it. +1 I dunno, I don't think that oodles of sample memory would go with the ethos of the machine...

About how long of a sample can you get in there now? Don't quote me, but less than 20 secs of mono sampling time it seems to be. Hmm... could be worse, I guess. I'm mainly thinking of dropping a lot of vocal samples into it. They would all be pretty short anyways. Definitely under 10 seconds as I i...

Nothing is perfect, as we all know. The Elektron gear are great because they are both very unique and very flexible/deep. I don't even think about limitations. As someone that is used to an MPC, I can't help but think about more sampling time...I'd ditch the MPC completely if the MnM had even 1 min...

I'm totally intrigued without knowing a single damn thing about these boxes. They just look/seem cool. Echoes and Beats are two of my greatest loves, so... Yeah, well the name implies something other than it seems to be... to me, it is just a midi sequencer. Can't wait to see the manual. Yeah, I sa...

It's the one area I still haven't explored on either of my machines. But I have just moved the MnM to be the centerpiece of my setup and I plan on delving into the song mode shortly.

Nothing is perfect, as we all know. The Elektron gear are great because they are both very unique and very flexible/deep. I don't even think about limitations. Of course, I don't have the UW... yet. OTOH, I've never owned a hardware sampler, so maybe I won't know any different when it comes to the s...

Well they said they are working on stuff but didn't want to tell me what. I guess because spilling the beans on any project would equal being fed to bears. For all I know they are working on a badass toaster. Elektron...if you are reading this...add compact flash support to both boxes please. That ...

An obvious idea and a cool one. Would certainly expand the functionality of the MnM where drums are concerned.

Daniel did say it would never happen though.

I'm going to have to check it out. Not really into the whole Itunes thing though, h**l I've never even owned an MP3 player . Hopefully he will have some CDs for sale at the Glasshouse when he opens for Krush. Probably. The one I got is the Views/Octopus EP. I think it is his only release so f...
