Those don't sound like anything you couldn't make with Subtraktor in Reason, or with a sampler through distortions...

Is it true that Subtraktor has some connection to the old Nord Lead?

Any multitimbral sampler is a drum sampler... or do you mean that it has a built in sequencer, as a drum machine?

There are loads of either. Keep looking on vintagesynth.com - they are right there!

Even with good equipment, field recordings have lots of noise.

I've never used an ESQ-1, but I love the functional bugs that I hear about it having, most bugs aren't beneficial

Plus, I also want the factory preset samples in case I ever get a Juno G synthesizer, so I can put many samples from other synths on it. I plan on turning it into a retro-sounding keyboard. For the price a Juno G costs new you could buy a Roland MKS80 and get most of the Jupiter and Juno sound in a...

That's the type of thing that one pays for when one buys a sample CD or diskette.
But you might just run into someone who wants to do what you ask.

The fact of the matter is, any digital synthesizer with enough looping waveforms can make great pads. It just becomes a question of sound quality really- but the JD800 does have uncompressed 44.1khz samples, so that's a point in its favor. But you could do the same with a sampler with a good digital...

Re: Does 100% analog polys exists ?

Silly question just out of curiosity.I was reading another thread when it hit me. Are there really any 100 % analog polys ? I'm thinking the Korg PS 3100 and 3300 could be all analog but except from that are there any ? Without any digital parts whatsoever. According to an article I read in SOS, th...

The MW1 is a good little rack unit for the money. The filter has character and can do tubby analog sounds or some nice 80s wavetable sounds. Not at all in the US. They go for atleast $700. But one thing I do know is this: the Yamaha 01x , though not a synth, is the best deal right now. It can funct...

Quite so. Though one doesn't really need 1 u if one isn't using a rack (if one is just stacking). I put four little blocks of wood between my rack units and this provides enough ventilation.

In all fairness, you didn't really offer any suggestions about making bell sounds. You suggested that he use two completely different synths instead. :P Erm...yes I did actually. And neither of those synths have ringmod. I hear that triangle waves were used back in the day for bell sounds... If pol...

I'm not liking your excessive generalizations one bit. The Prophet 600 has everything you need to make bell sounds. They may not be as realistic as the DX7, but the correct answer to "how do I make bell sounds with a Prophet 600 or Poly61" is not "Buy a DX7" or "The ESQ-1 is great for bell sounds". ...
